Got this from SR, so take it fwiw....
Jordy Culotta (BR radio guy) was on with Scott Alexander yesterday and they were discussing the Saints & La'el...
He claims that the Saints were the ONLY team not to reach out to Collins, and that he was disappointed despite reports of him to leave the state...
If this is true, it is fricking inexcusable.......A top 15 talent right down the street at a position of need, and not even a phone call to him or his agent??? WTF??
Flame away if you please, but hearing this makes me want to vomit

Everyone is upset over how that played out...but I really do not want to be reminded of this kid once a week for the next 10-13 years.

I didn't know it was public knowledge that the Saints were the only team not to even reach out to him. I hadn't heard that until today, so that's my only reason for bringing it up.

I would assume if this is legit sourced and not just some rumor he heard, that the source would be the agent. There's no need to talk to all 32 team GMs to get that info unless you think the agent is lying.

Maybe the Saints thought it was very divaesque, entitled, and immature to have your agent come out and tell teams when to draft you...maybe that rubbed the franchise the wrong way especially considering who and why some players were let go this offseason.

They probably didn’t reach out to him, we were already dumb enough to pick peat so they figured they didn't need him. Honestly aside from a few lucky picks this staff sucks drafting players

If the story was that the Saints were one of even a few teams that didn't reach out to him, I could believe it. The ONLY one? I don't buy that. I don't care which team you are talking about.
On the other hand, agents are usually pretty upstanding guys.
