Doing the deal before Dec 19th means one thing:
Houston is willing to take an Island of Misfit Toys (aka players that don't fit/are expiring/etc) in order to move them AGAIN before the deadline for pieces that fit better.

This deal only benefits the pacers. It kills us for the present and future. It also hurts the rockets. Why do they want and aging granger when they have a young cheap parsons. They need a pf.

Just throw Rivers at Houston!

OK, then by what you just said, Houston says yes to this. NOLA says yes to this. Does Portland?

Just a thought... What about a 3 team trade involving pela Boston and Houston. Rockets get bass or hump. Celtics get Gordon and we get asik and Mar Brooks. Of couse I think it would make kore sense if the celtics and rockets traded without us included. Thoughts?

I don't really want Asik, so it won't be getting my hopes up.

No probably not..but Houston isn't moving Parsons without getting back someone that would give them a "Big 3".

Rryno is on a great contract for many years. I don't think he's getting traded. i don't even know if we want asik with the way that AD and ryno are playing. I think we need to focus on getting a SF for gordon

No probably not
Sending Parsons and Brian Roberts to Portland and Batum to NOLA with everything else the same works. Maybe the Pels would prefer that given the certainty of having Batum the extra season under contract, and I don't think that there's a big difference between Batum/Parsons outside of the significant salary difference this season. If you think Portland says no to that, I don't know what to tell you. Lillard/CJM?/Parsons or Batum/Ryno/Asik is a pretty damn good lineup. Portland could just hold onto both Batum and Parsons in hope of getting a better fit than Ryno, but that's not going to happen.
ETA: And plus that puts the Pelicans in the predicament of having to leave one of Gordon, Reke, and Batum/Parsons on the bench to end games in favor of a big man that's inferior to Ryno. Either Jones or Smiht.

Post the trade that you're talking about I must've missed it./

There's a big picture of it above.
NOLA gets: Parsons, Jones
Houston gets: Aldridge
Portland gets: Asik, Ryno

Yeah, that's definitely a flawed trade by Moore, seems to benefit the Pelicans more than anyone
I dont think so.
Indiana gets another wing to bolster their title run and Moore says that Indy would deal Gordon on draft night to free up $ for Stephenson.
Houston gets a legit wing player, if healthy, who also is a massive expiring they can use for a third star before the deadline or this summer. Plus they unload Asik and his contract which only limit them right now.
Pellies get Asik as their 3rd big and have arguably the best frontcourt in the league. They do take a $$ hit with his contract (off the books, but its still $$ Benson is spending) but still have space to make a solid addition to the roster in the summer

Ryno and Parsons aren't going anywhere. Just saying.
ETA: This isn't directed at you, just at the thread in general.

I can't see that pic, some don't show up. That's a deal that Portland would've possibly taken if they hadn't started out so well. For Houston it's a no brainer, imo.

Way too good of value for Houston there. Aldridge might be the best PF right now, and he will probably resign given how good Portland's future looks.

Should be telling your fellow Rockets fans that.

why would the Rockets let it be known publicly that they are dealing him? That just seems like a poor strategy.
