That's the best I've got. Also thought about something like

Pelicans: Asik, Evan Turner
Houston: Thad Young
76ers: Gordon, Moteijunas

76ers could use EG. J Rich is old. If they draft Wiggz, he can play SF. Jabari = SF. They need a shooting guard IMO.

Why would the 6ers do that? The Pelicans aren't getting Asik + a starter for only Gordon.

Looks great for us, but Houston improves even more than we do. They get a good bit better at the 4 and, unlike Asik, I think Gallo can back up two positions. They'd be insanely good rebounding.

Maybe Houston throws in Parsons instead of one of (or both of) Jones/Motiejunas?

Pelicans: Asik, Wilson Chandler
Houston: Faried, Gallinari
Nuggets: EG, Parsons (& Jones or Motiejunas?)

Speaking of Okafor, I would love a starting lineup with AD at PF and Oak at C. Just me at lunch noodling on the interwebz.

No way Houston does that. Gallo isn't going to play until probably March at the earliest.

I agree on the 76ers trade, but that 3 way with the Nuggets seemed in the ball park of pretty even all around and the Pelicans were only giving up Gordon.

So who gets the Pelicans 2016 1st, the Nuggets or the Rockets? Who is being more wronged in this trade?

You don't follow the NBA much do you? Houston giving up Asik and Parsons and Jones/Motiejunas for Faried and Gallinari

For Houston to move Asik and Parsons together they are getting a Kevin Love or a Lamarcus Aldridge. Jones and Motiejunas are throw-ins to any deal that would land Houston one of these guys.

Which team says no in that trade? NOLA and Houston sure as shite don't (Houston is sacrificing a little competitiveness right now for a pretty significant benefit come playoff time). Denver doesn't seem interested in extending Faried and they're pretty terrible at the 2. They'd have a hole at the 3 spot, though. I think people are overrating Chandler a bit. He's an adequate starter and would give the Pels some stability at the 3 (unlike Aminu's rollercoaster play), but he's not exactly a stud.

Plus the owner has said he's willing to pay the tax to win, so with his dirt cheap contract, Parsons holds more value right now to them than a team like the Pelicans.
