re: Batum and . . . draft pick - corndeaux
There is nothing in your post that has any relevance to, or displays any understanding of, the reality of the NBA CBA, NBA FA market, and capitalism in general. Congrats on the golden sombrero....

re: Batum and . . . draft pick - corndeaux
already had my two superstars on good contracts
My god. This is the entire point. Every superstar is on a good contract because their earning are capped artificially. Anthony Davis will be underpaid when his max kicks in. LeBron James has been making (often much) less than half...

re: Batum and . . . draft pick - corndeaux
Would be an ideal FA signing (non KD/LeBron division). We saw how big a difference just a non corpse wing made two seasons ago. Batum is significantly better than QPon. As for the pick- I'm just hoping they don't turn it into a 3rd tier player who will be 3x as expensive as a rookie. Unfortunate...

re: Jamal Murray vs Jaylen Brown - corndeaux
This is all tilting at windmills. I found Demps's Summer To Do List: Step 1- trade 2016 1st, and 2017 top 3 protected pick to Phoenix for Brandon Knight. Step 2- sign Brandon Jennings this summer Step 3- bring back Anderson and Perkins Step 4- sign Roy Hibbert. Every NBA team in 2016 n...

re: Offseason Dell Demps Job Watch - Day 20 - lolbasketball - corndeaux
It's not even necessarily a referendum on Gentry's system. It's not a waste, he puts up numbers. But it's not a great fit either. Which gets to something more basic about Evans/Holiday. You can give either guy the keys to your offense; great. Where exactly is that taking you? A 6-8 seed? Congrats, y...

re: According to Scott Kushner, Dell Demps to return next season - corndeaux
All of this points, again, to the guys at the top not really knowing what they are doing. Demps stays or goes, it won't really matter until they get their shite together. It is fascinating how they have chosen to run this franchise. I get that Benson is likely losing a decent chunk of money ...
Most of them are okay, actually
Yes. Schwan's [link=(http://www.bourbonstreetshots.com/2016/04/21/season-in-review-anthony-davis-and-his-development-as-a-scorer/)]article[/link] on Davis's progression as a shot creator was very good and interesting. And he also had the[link=(http:/...

re: According to Scott Kushner, Dell Demps to return next season - corndeaux
We haven't even gotten a "those are valid questions, we thought of them too and still believe our info." it's just childish lashing out about the fact that we don't trust them blindly.
It's all very ironic for the BSS/TBW angry bloggers. McNamara has turned himself into the Jimmy S...

re: Offseason Dell Demps Job Watch - Day 20 - lolbasketball - corndeaux
Dude. Really? Why you take 90% of what people say on the internet seriously is beyond me. If you love talking hoops, talk hoops. Here there wherever. You're only proving your critics right with nonsense like this. But, whatever, you do you...

re: Offseason Dell Demps Job Watch - Day 20 - lolbasketball - corndeaux
you guys only knew the real offer he turned down for Ryno, this board would explode.
Humor me. I think I would be more shocked at what Anderson would have fetched than Demps refusing to move him because "playoffs "...

re: Offseason Dell Demps Job Watch - Day 20 - lolbasketball - corndeaux
easy for them to all get on the same page, which might be our biggest problem as an organization.
Yeah. Also the hope Dumars would have the ability to stand up to Benson/Loomis. Tell them there is no quick fix for $$ or good product. Most of Demps big moves the last few years look ...

re: Offseason Dell Demps Job Watch - Day 20 - lolbasketball - corndeaux
Take a deep breath  Look at it this way, if Dumars was able to orchestrate half of what you put forth, that's more competence from a Pels exec than we've seen in years...

re: Spin off: Should the pels look to trade Jrue? - corndeaux
Elhassan: Roster building isn't algebra. It's chemistry. Just adding a guy like Pondexter as a throwaway in a trade makes a big difference because his particular (and somewhat limited) skill set doesn't exist any where else on the team. The Pels have never been more than the sum of their parts...

re: DeMarcus Cousins anyone? - corndeaux
Granted that FO isnt the greatest,
Massive understatement. The Jimmer draft day trade might be the worst trade of the last decade. The Maloofs made Shinn look like a Mark Cuban level spender those last few years and Vivek is insane. The Kings have had some nice players, unfortunate...
the Bucks were offered Curry or Ellis and they choose Ellis.
 According to the Bucks. Just like every team in the league was going to draft Draymond, but GS picked him way too early at.... #35. Funny how these stories pop up after Curry becomes a walking supernov...

re: DeMarcus Cousins anyone? - corndeaux
Dude will still get a good return, even with his warts. $16M and $18M over the next two years with $92M and $110M caps for one of the 15-20 best players in the league is worth the risk. If I'm Washington, send it all for Boogie. Wall/Boogie 2016 :usa:...

re: Spin off: Should the pels look to trade Jrue? - corndeaux
I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how much the cap is going to jump. Even at $20M next year and beyond, that is nowhere close to a max on a $108M cap. That said, giving Holiday $20+M with his injury history and this medical staff is somewhat risky. The injuries and his expirin...

re: Sorry for not knowing... Ryno question - corndeaux
Why wouldnt they do that if it were indeed on the table?
Heres one theory: because they are delusional or incompetent, perhaps both. Lets flip it around. At this point, what has this FO done that makes you think they made a smart, rational decision that sees beyond the next 8 m...

re: Sorry for not knowing... Ryno question - corndeaux
ust dump Ryno, who has been a model teammate and player for our franchise
If you're sending him to Toronto this season, you're not just dumping him to a desolate team. Plus, if he's a model teammate/player, 2 things: why don't you want to keep him beyond this season? And...

re: Sorry for not knowing... Ryno question - corndeaux
Because they are afraid, rightly so, that they will re-sign Anderson because they couldn't "evaluate" this core.
They would have really had to like a player in order to take on another longer contract
The alternative isn't necessarily a comparable, longer contract. Toronto, if t...
