It is not a minimum deal. Part of the MLE in all likelihood. Still some left.

Once the cap numbers actually came out, it was obvious that being hard capped would not matter. We can't get to that apron in all likelihood anyway.

WOuldn't be surprised if he gives an above minimum contract to one more guy, splitting the MLE up between DC, Gee, and the 3rd guy.

And for those panicking, no, this does not hurt our cap space for next year if we want to pursue some max guy. In fact, when you see the details of Luke's contract you will see it could actually help.

He appeared to be a competent 3 point shooter in 39 games in Denver last year. The rest of his career, "not completely terrible" might be as nice as you can get.

He was fun to watch at Bama. I hope he does well in his role. Roll Pels!

Should work well in the platoon SF approach we'll be using this year along with Q and Dante.

Interested to see if we end up using the rest of the MLE on someone else.

This feels a lot like a Salmons/Stiemsma signing

starting to feel like a desperate attempt to find something to hang your hat on such a kind of small sample size.

Michael McNamara ?@McNamara247 2m2 minutes ago Gee shot 45% from the corner in Denver last year. You watch Gentry's offense, and that's where the wings get a lot of their looks
He only made a TOTAL of 10 3 pointers in Denver, so how meaningful is that stat (even if he took all of his shots from the corner, which he did not)?

It's different in a big way, if the team is healthy we won't NEED him to get minutes. Having end of bench guys at the actual end of the bench will be nice. Then you can use their limited skill sets in a role best suited for them rather than asking them to do something they aren't capable of.

Unlike those 2, I don't think he's going to come in and be expected to play significant minutes. I doubt he plays much more than 10 mpg.

Interesting. So he pressured him all night without results? Why would that make Gentry want him?

Remember how Asik gave Cousins all he could handle and Cousins still put up monster stats?

Not all that matters. Stars are gonna get theirs. But watch that game. If Gee was on your favorite team, you would love him

So, are we to assume that the second year is not guaranteed?

Agree. There is little to no sample size. But it is the same for the negative side. Guy can step in and has the skill set to at least be respected from the corner and plays hard D. Maybe he is just an 11th man who gives our big guns hell in practice. It's a small contract. I don't expect much personally. If he plays more than 500 minutes it means somebody went down.

Might be a good assumption to make.
