This is the only part I like about the show. Colin F, street cop, Adams characters' and their fricked up personal lives just don't interest me at all. I like the mafia VV and his street justice to get his money and his territory back. Overall TD has been disappointing this season.Imho

Thought this was a great episode. Honestly, the last 3 have been solid.

Looking forward to the finale.

I think Ani's cop partner is one of the "orphans" and is also "birdman".

He's too old. The girl was "about 4" and the boy a "little older." That would put them late twenties.

Wait, I thought the gay dude that had sex with the woodbourough was the other orphan.

I agree with the majority here, the last few episodes have been really good and saved the season, but there is just too much going on here and too many people involved.

He may very well be--the age and skin tone/hair match. But why would you think you already knew that?

The gif of Ray snorting/drinking looks like he's been there, done that .....either that or hand him the Emmy cause he is the greatest actor ever!

I stopped reading on like page 4 and I guess I'm not surprised at what seems to be most people's disappointment. TD2 is really nowhere close to TD1, but I'm still liking it. VV is the best character. A guy that is the true street guy and natural gangster turns out to be the most honest and honorable guy on the show.

I really loved Taylor Kitsch's character. Dude is pretty good at playing the tortured soul who is doomed because of the need to always "try" to do what he thinks is right. It was a fricking shame he couldn't make it out of the tunnels, but I mean, you kind of knew it was over on the way down. I was hoping he at least had his phone on and Valcorro was hearing everything, but since apparently he was banging McAdams at the time, that appears to be unlikely.

To me, the show was almost shite and just had way too many stories and characters, all over the place..... But the big shoot out brought me back. I think they've done a pretty decent job at tying everything together, but it feels impossible for Collin Farrel and McAdams characters getting out of this alive or at least free of mad prison time.

Also Iike how VV's character got Stringer Bell'd by the real business thugs and politicians, except he will hopefully burn all those frickers down and ride off into the sunset.

Truthfully, I'd like to see a happy ending for Farrel and McAdams, but I'm ok with them losing if we get a win for Vince Vaughn. But more than likely, VV winning, will also be their only chance at winning.

to each his own I suppose. I thought he was clearly the weakest of all the main characters.

Yeah I couldn't disagree more. Dude was a warrior. His story was way more intriguing than McAdams daddy issues and Farrels white trash, not sure if it's my son, story.

I wanted to know more about his background, and wish they'd taken it deeper. With the other two, I feel like I'd rather know less.

I'm curious to know what kind of military training he had before his contract career. That type of stuff. The gay shite was kind of lame, but I guess I could just relate more to him than anyone else.

Willa Paskin at Slate has done a good job of running through all the characters and connections, with pics. It's still a clusterfrick, but her article helps.

Ok, but how did the detectives become aware of them?

Kitsch found Dickson's card at the pawn shop where he was asking about the diamonds. Ani noted that Holloway was at the party, and Ray got from Frank that a tall white cop (Burris) gave Caspere's stuff to the dead girl. Kitsch put it all together when he looked up their unit in 92' and saw that Caspere was also working with them, noting that the robbery was done very professionally with masks and taking the surveillance tape. Caspere had the diamonds, thus "that gives them motive."

I don't see CF being alive when it ends. The whole season has given me the feeling he had a death wish. I don't see how they tie this all together and end with justice like S1, though. Will be good to see how they do it in 90 mins. I think they have a lot a questions to answer to end well, no matter who lives or dies.

I feel like at this point, Velcorro and Bezerides' best chance at walking away is to help out Frank.

The only way to improve it would be to dump that shitty song altogether.

Great fricking episode!

Come on . . . really?????

Either I am watching a different show or everyone's expectations had become so low after the beginning that any glimmer of hope gets way overrated.

So the writers build up this top secret sex party for several episodes and the security is such that they bus all the girls in, pat them down before they get on the bus (and then pass the basket to collect phones and purses after getting on the bus, which is stupid), and then drive to a remote location. Once there, two cops are able to penetrate the perimeter security by only encountering two guards -- then Woodrugh is able to pick a window lock using his knife (why bother with having a security system) and slip into the office and remove papers that are important enough to kill for (why bother with a safe) -- all the while, one doped up female cop is able to throw up the drugs that had already entered her blood and had affected her vision and mobility/balance and, in her drugged state is able to locate the one person she needs to find, is able to escape while only encountering one security guy and killing him, and exits the house right into the arms of Woodrugh, who just happens to be waiting at the correct door with no interference from any other security.

The sex party scene and the shootout from an earlier episode are just too unbelievable. While I keep hoping to find some signs of something good, the writing for this season is just horrible.

I love that song. For the first few episodes, it was the only part of the show that I liked.

I mock it every single time an episode starts. It's so terrible.

ETA - The song for season 1 was fantastic. Not sure why they replaced it with this turd.
