Environmental segment was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. I was crying at the end I was laughing so hard.
Really? I don't know. Maybe I'll give it another watch and see if I change my mind.

I do know that I'm over "Celebrity Brain Crush." I just think the gang is getting a bit smug.

Bumping the thread after a very disappointing Episode Four.

Thought it was one of the best...

It was def old school Top Gear with the antics. They had the normal car review with the Porsche vs BMW and then did their outlandish competition segment. That was more Top Gear than anything they've done thus far.

I liked it. Though they went overboard with rebuilding May's car, just like the military segment from E2.

Agreed

The environmental car bit was classic Top Gear. May's mud car looked like paper mache initially, but then he drove off and it fell apart. Someone spent a lot of time putting that together

I thought May's car was fake until it started falling apart. Another good episode IMO.

I agree, that was a classic odd segment. Though May's lack of mortar was odd. He said he had mortar but left it off, so it would fall apart. I liked the bone and meat car as well.

Then at the end it was just hay and manure.

To me it was them getting back into the silly challenges.

Episode 5 was vintage, best one so far. Guys really seemed to have found their sea legs. Last three episodes have been excellent.

Yes, a solid episode. I like it when we get to see nice scenery as well as cars. It is, after all, a tour.

I liked the battleship segment.

They really hate those 'Gee-Whiz" cars.

The Dutch audience doesn't not seem very lively...they honestly need to keep the show in he U.K....they just seem more comfortable there.

"There is no naval equivalent to the PT Cruiser.....but it doesn't matter if we blow it up because.......it is crap".

Best Line of the episode

They just announced on the FB page that there will be an episode on the 23rd and then a 2 part Namibia adventure on the 30 and 31. I cannot wait. The adventures were always my favorite part of the old Top Gear.

Yeah the adventure specials are what made the show truly legendary and also bring out the best in the chemistry of the three, especially once they've been on the road for a few days and are completely annoyed with one another.

My perosnal favorites were the Amazon, Spine of Africa, and North Pole specials. All should have won every emmy award available, it was truly special television.

I may not have ever laughed as hard as I did during the Patagonia trip.

when Jezza's porsche has its wiring harness severed and his headlights won't work. The brake light that they installed on his dashboard was great. "ohh, is that less than funny now?"

let's also not forget that one of these specials gave us the grandeur of the engineering marvel that was the bridge over the magestic Kok River

Bumping for Episode 6. Another solid ep. The Ford GT40 segment had me going six to midnight.

Still hating Celebrity Brain Crash, though.

seems like a waste of three minutes.

I bet Ford loves these guys and the guys at Top Gear, both shows have been gushing over the Focus and Mustang lately.

(Top Gear did an excellent segment with ken Block)

Yeah the GT segment was great, I'm not understanding celebrity brain crash either.

My only guess is that Clarkson probably absolutely despised the celebrity interviews on old Top Gear but BBC made them keep doing it. So now they're just giving t a big middle finger to how much they hated it and how stupid it was.
