The celebrity bit seemed kinda like an inside joke I wasn't in on. But overall it was really cool. Didn't realize the show was going to be that close to top gear but I loved top gear so I'm happy.

"This thing wouldn't pull a greasy string out of a dog's arse." Mike Skinner.

So pumped that these three are back together. The BBC are fools and made poor casting decisions for the New Top Gear. You can't replace the chemistry these three have, which is what makes the show.

Great premier episode. Beautiful cinematography. Love the new track. Great chemistry and humor, obviously.
RIP BBC Top gear. They may as well give the show to Chris Harris. His "Chris Harris on Cars" youtube series was better than this past season of Top Gear.
Loved the trinity competition, but it was anti-climactic since Chris Harris already did a comparison 11 months ago. In fact, the three cars tested appear to be the same: the dark purple P1, the #3 918, and a red The Ferrari. Probably their test mules.

It was all filmed @ the same time @ the same track. GT just used its technical name "Algarve International Circuit" while Chris Harris used the more commonly referred name "Portimao"

Just finished full episode, love that they were able to get their show so close to top gear.
My son & I laughed pretty hard at the "celebrity interviews". Felt some jokes were flat.
Overall sold episode, very hopeful for future.

showing that they were phasing that bit out.
I liked the celebrity parts of TG, but yeah I understand that they are avoiding everything similar to TG to avoid lawsuits.
I'll add that Mike Skinner talking was really awkward. I guess he has to 1) be identified and 2) talk, just to be different than TG's stig.

Just started, can't wait to see what kind of shenanigans they get into.

I can see that. People say he is a really fun guy to talk to IRL

Not too bad so far. Intro was cheesy and it was a little awkward at times but hopefully they'll get into a BBC-like groove.

Watched last night... Thoroughly enjoyed it.
The on screen chemistry between those three is second to none.
