My interest in this shitty show is now piqued after some interwebz research.

So that Homeland reference at the end of this weeks show.

Guess they knew how many people would be Googling Benoist's appearance on that show.

My first thought when I saw his red eyes was Martian Manhunter

He seems like he'd be Mr. Terrific with the reference to his dead relatives.

Mr. Terrific is already on Arrow right now.

Martian Manhunter would be awesome.

In the comics, Crenshaw was the Cyborg Superman. (Crenshaw's mind in a robotic body, posing as Superman returned as a cyborg).

Not sure how they will handle it on the show, but in the comics Henshaw was very similar to last night's villain. He eventually became a member of the Sinestro Corps (yellow lanterns), which makes me wonder if the producers of the DC shows are angling toward a GL show in the near future.

Is this thread going to be constantly discussing her noods?

We get it. She's cute and hot as shite.

Anyway, they literally had Superman appear on this show and if they do it again a few more times, I just can't help but think that he will have his own show sometime again in the near future. We just went through ten years of smallville that ended nearly five years ago. We did need a return to the Superman mythos but not that hard return. Supergirl is the right character to do that and I think they're easing Superman back into TV.

He's going to make a full blown appearance at some point, maybe later this season or next season.

Also, don't like the idea of Jimmy and Kara. I just don't see it. Winn is the dark horse love interest to me and possible winner. I could see Win becoming Mon-El or something like that.

If they keep producing episodes like this weeks, they'll keep me coming back.

This show is really creating a nice niche. I dig it.

Sentrius, get the ram rod out your arse. Lighten up, Francis! This show rocks. I've neglected to tell you thanks for the heads up in your OP. And hell, I see you enough on the poli board to know you were fapping when Cat Grant said "Liberals love to feel guilty".

Benoist awesome body and all around hotness piqued my interest in the beginning, but the storytelling is what keeps me coming back. Call it a guilty pleasure, whatever. I'm hooked.

This is the first episode where I found myself not thinking about the Fappening every five minutes, and just about the show itself.

Love all the references to previous incarnations of Superman, ie. Dean Cain as Kara's step dad.

Anybody else catch that X-Files reference about the mysterious, off the books government agency(Agent Mulder, or rather, Agent Henshaw)?

And who the hell is that that sang that awesome Hozier cover (Take Me To Church) they played over the Thanksgiving dinner scene?

I can't believe CBS has two cool shows like this and Limitless in the same lineup with garbage like any of the NCISes, etc. But it is a pleasant surprise. Been a long time since I've watched a show on one of the Big 4 regularly, much less two.

I agree. It sucks. The re-imagining of Jimmy as a suave dude is one of the reasons I am tuning out after one episode.

I miss Smallville.

Wasn't Henshaw just a cyborg before he became cyborg superman?

Also what is up with the name Kerra Danvers? Is that a taunt at Marvel comics Carol Danvers
