So, for those who have seen the show, what are your thoughts on it?
I'm about three episodes into season 3 and it's been utterly meh so far. This is without question one of the most overrated shows on television, likely due to the all the females - who lack any concept or perspective of what "great" television is - hailing it as amazing.

Watched the first 6 episodes of season 1 and thought it was awful. Don't understand how people love this shite so much.

I watched the first two seasons with my ex and I'll admit I didn't mind the first season, it was something different, but the second season was terrible IMO. I won't even start the third. Everything is so over the top and it seems that everything that could go wrong, has. I guess maybe once it wraps up if there isn't shite else to watch I'll give it a go, but as of now, it's one of Neflix's worst original series.

I hate Crazy Eyes more than I hate Joffrey and Ramsay. I quite literally close my eyes any time that she's on screen. I enjoyed the first season, lost interest in season 2, and watched most of season 3 (including the last few episodes). I do like the direction they took with slutty prison lady and the nice mustache guy.

The first season kept my interest. But then the novelty of the original idea wore off and there was no real interesting storyline. I think the same thing happened with Weeds for me. I think Jengi Kohan is good at finding something and realizing the potential of an off the wall concept involving white, middleclass, housewife types, but ultimately there isn't much of a story line after the "hey wouldn't this be neat" factor wears off.

Finished season 3 last night, and I must say that was a truly bad season-ending episode. The lake scene, while already totally implausible, dragged on forever. And now we have to deal with Piper as some Michael Corleone character? If this show had any charm at all it was in following a nice girl coping within bad circumstances, and that's all gone.
I really can't understand some of these story line choices by the producers. Daya is ugly, fat, and uninteresting, yet the love obsession of two guards? Every inclusion comes at a cost, and we're treated to a dull pregnancy story at the cost of somebody like Nikki, full of ironies and one-liners and insights, but who's been cast aside.
At this point, only Pennsatucky, Sophie, and Taystee remain interesting for me. I frequently wander away from the TV when others are featured. I have no enthusiasm, whatsoever, for a fourth season.

I absolutely love this show. It's funny, and it's just a great hang out show, my favorite little subgenre. I like how each tribe has its own subculture and the squabbling between each of them. It has a great ensemble and gives pretty much everyone a turn at center stage. Even one-joke characters are later revealed to have a certain amount of depth (LeAnn's back story is particularly tragic, and I love Chang's invisibility and great line readings).
But also, it's done a great job with the guards. O'Neil is my hero ("Red velvet is bullshite!"), but even the hard arse guards are more than just evil screws. Maxwell has a scene with Caputo in which she complains about the new guards not even knowing the names of the inamtes while she can lists off everyone's routines and quirks. Up to that point, she was the stand in for "the hard arse", yet the show reveals that she does care about the inmates and takes her job seriously.
It's a show that's really good at presenting everyone's point of view. Well, except Aleida. She sucks. Even her POV story just reveals the depths of her crappiness. Even Healy, the bigoted therapist, has his touching moments. He's at least trying (sometimes, at least).
But yeah, if you're just looking for spank material, the show is an utter failure. It's not about being your mastabatory fantasy.

It's a much lighter, less interesting (read: shitty) version of OZ. The latest season is pretty awful.

I liked it up until about the 9th episode and then I felt like the writing began to struggle. I found it tough to stay interested so I stopped.

If I had a lot less going on in my life, I think I would enjoy it more. I don't give it the focus it needs to care about 3589028509582 different characters getting fully fleshed out stories over the course of like 20 episodes.

I really enjoyed watching the first season. The writing was great, as was the acting. Storylines held up and character development was strong. However, after that first season I began to slowly lose interest after each episode. The "girl humor" schtick grew old and the storylines just aren't that interesting anymore. I will give season 3 a shot soon but I wouldn't say I'm excited about it.

I love when Rex, GOAT TD troll, drops the mask.

For anybody who thought the show was just ok through the first two seasons...the third season is a laughing disaster. From beginning to end it sucked. The lake scene at the end seemed like the writers ran out of ideas. HUGE waste of time to watch the third season.

I watched season 1 and have no further interest. Not funny enough for a comedy nor serious enough to be drama.

Lake scene was perfect on so many different levels, the biggest reason is it allowed the prison population to double while they were living on cloud 9. Huge irony in that scene when you break down the different components.

This, whatever she says to do, do the exact opposite. Also isn't the fine Spanish girl also her daughter?
I think I would of believed the love triangle more, had it been about her and not the other one.
I did like Chang's backstory as well as the whole "new religion" substory this season.
It's entertaining.
Just saw the actress who plays Aledia is a star of the new Walking Dead spin-off.

I like Orange is the New Black but wouldn't say its one of my favorite shows. It's definitely entertaining though.
