I saw it last night and all I can say is “wow”. This was one hell of a film….Nolan delivered once again. There will definitely be a lot to unpack whenever the spoiler talk starts on here.

Another spoiler free take:

1st act could be 15 mins shorter. 2nd and 3rd may be flawless.

Seeing it on XD (Cinemark's version of IMAX, I believe it's a bigger picture but loses a bit on the width and sound) at 6:20 CST.

I’ll be honest, when I said some people will probably not like this movie, you were one of the people I had in mind.

Hope I’m wrong.

I went last night.

We had a bad storm roll though so lost power - decided it would be a good time to go watch a movie

Here is my assessment of the movie in football terms

1st Quarter — F+ (only because I was excited to watch the movie)

2nd Quarter — F- (looked around the theater and there were probably 15 people sleeping in the theater)

3rd Quarter. — A+ (very good)

4th Quarter — C- (back to being a snooze fest)

Overall, I was very disappointed with this movie

Yeah, I’m not really buying that a bunch of people excited enough for this movie to go opening night were sleeping through this.

Yeah it seemed like they made the bomb really fast. I kept waiting for that “breakthrough” moment where they have an epiphany and figure out how to make it work but it kinda went from the drawing board straight to “ok it’s ready to test”

I’d read that the sex scenes were long

They totally lied about that. 35 seconds combined tops really.

If you read my post you would have read that we had a bad storm that rolled through and a lot of people lost power at their house.

So in words that might help you understand what I was saying.. there were a lot of people in the movie theater that were only there because they lost power at their house due to a bad storm. They (including me) were there to pass time at a movie instead of sitting at home in the dark.

I even broke it down in football terms and you were still too fricking dumb to understand my review about this movie.

Next time, I will break down my review in Sesame Street and South Park terms hoping you will understand it more.

What, specifically, didn’t you like?

I wanna go see this with the hopes Nolan’s returned to Prestige/Inception form.

For sure. Hell, Murphy sounds like Daniel Plainview and there are parts of the soundtrack that feel as if it was lifted straight from There Will Be Blood. The whole Los Alamos/Desert set gives off the vibe as well.

I just thought it was extremely slow. I went in not expecting an action packed movie but it was just boring as hell even knowing it was going to be like that.

I only saw one preview.

One complaint could be that they advertised this as the story about the creation of nukes, but its really a biopic of the genius behind the creation of the nukes. The dialogue is amazingly well done. Acting is as good as we've seen in a while.

The only people that will hate this are those who expected a bunch of frickin bombs blowing up, but if you know anything about the Manhattan project, this just didnt happen
