Why would a guy scrub and trailer and garage of all blood after what would be a bloodbath
I don't think there was any bloodshed in the trailer. I don't think Dassey's fantastic story during his confession happened. There was a limited amount of blood from the shooting in the garage that was cleaned. As to why he didn't crush/cleanse the Rav4, I can't really say other than he was probably planning on crushing it but for whatever reason never got around to it.

I can agree. But how screwed up is it that he got convicted on the other story. Then Dassey got convicted because of drawings of the attack and crazy stories I can only assume he at least partially made up. I think that's the entire point of the documentary. They muddied this thing up so much that at the very least, they ran the risk of a mistrial on a person who actually committed the crime.

My abbreviated theory:
Much as we disagreed over the years on the poliboard, we're about 95% in agreement on how this actually went down.
I think he was obsessed with Theresa and planned the rape. Either before or after he decided, "No body, no crime. They will never believe the cops accusing me of anything. If they do, I'll say they planted the evidence." So, he killed her afterwards to keep her from telling. Again - he's not an intellectual superpower, but he is clever and manipulative. He also thinks he is more clever than he actually is. Part of his motivation is that "they owed him one."
I'm lining up with the balance of your theory - certainly supportable by a preponderance of the evidence.
Is it beyond a reasonable doubt though?

I think you would have to accept some of the evidence that was found at the scene by the sheriffs department for it to be beyond a reasonable doubt. There are just too many questions out there regarding the conflict of interest for me to accept any of the evidence they found. However, I'm pretty confident that Avery is a piece of shite person.

If I were in the jury I would have said look i'm not saying he's not guilty but I can't convict someone off this shite show. Top to bottom everyone involved in this deal is shady as hell. Let's have a hung jury and they can try again to convict.

Again, I'm pretty close to here as well.

Someone on the jury should have forced a hung verdict...at the very least to get a new trial with a different judge...if his portrayal in the movie is accurate he sucked...made some terrible rulings and seemed like a lackey for prosecution. It seemed like the defense was not afforded the leeway the prosecution was afforded.

I think the "excused juror" that still hangs around would have been the ticket to the hung jury. I think that is why he won't let it go.

They found no evidence of blood or the cleanup of blood in the garage.

They did find bleach stained jeans in the trailer, that was not included in the documentary.
FYI bleach is an effective DNA removal agent.

Man the most fricked up part about this was how they did that 16 year old kid in episodes 3 and 4 he was so dumb and they just got him to say what ever even
I was asking myself if he was actually competent enough to stand trial. I don't think he knew what was going on. He was more concerned with missing wrestlemania.

Yeah, in Brendan Dassey's trailer, not Steven Avery's.

I could be wrong, but from what his original lawyer said, standard bleach does not completely remove DNA and there would have been trace amounts remaining had there actually been blood on the jeans to begin with.

Here is my take on why SA never crushed the car and it's quite simple/logical
SA knowing what he had done and knowing the police would instantly think of him, was afraid that he would be caught in the act. He didn't know it would be three or four days before Teresa was reported missing, in fact, I'll bet SA expected to hear from authorities as soon as the next morning. In Steve's mind, their was no safe way to get rid of the car, so he sat and hoped that it wouldn't be discovered during any investigation.
The police definitely searched Avery's property in secret. No way the only two people the police gave a camera to stumbled upon that car within minutes of beginning their search.
SA killed TH, but should have been found not guilty, as fricked up as that sounds.
One question I have, did they ever say what happened to TH's camera? Was it found it the burn barrel?

This is exactly right, common bleach is not effective for removal of DNA and blood that seeps down into the cement.

But not the removal of blood.

Bro, Avery was smart enough to pour bleach in every crack on his property

I believe I read the initial voting was in favor of acquittal. I forget the numbers, but I think there were 3 votes to convict, and the rest to acquit. Coincidentally or not, there were 3 people on the jury with ties to the sheriff's department. The voting swung allegedly on jurors fearing retaliation from the sheriff's department, at least according to one of the jurors.
