re: Any big name athletes who's true sports love was something they didn't play - tccdc
Allen Iverson loved football and was so dominant in VA before realizing he would make much more $$$ in basketball. Dell Curry loved baseball. And I guess rugby is Nate Ebner's first love....

re: Ireland May 2017 - tccdc
The Westin is nice....but if I am spending money, I like the Merrion or the Morrison. The Merrion is a classic Dublin hotel, that is right near St. Stephens green. The Morrison is across the Liffey, but walking distance to everything. If you are not looking to spend a lot of $$$, I sometime...
Saw the Shelbourne. Really debating it vs. the Westin Dublin. Since SPG and Marriott merged I can use either.
There is no debate..the Shelbourne has history and great (but expensive) bar used by locals. The Irish Rugby team stays there before games if that gives you an idea....

re: Ireland May 2017 - tccdc
As a Marriott guy, if possible, use your points and stay at the Shelbourne in Dublin, which is near Upper Baggot street and some of the more famous non-touristy pubs (Toners, Foleys) in Dublin. There is a great restaurant near there called Matt the Thresher that always has great fresh oysters. I...

re: O.J. Simpson up for parole this summer - tccdc
I have always thought he was guilty, but had no problem with him being found innocent due to the incompetence of the prosecution. It was a perfect example of showing that justice is not black or white, but rich or poor. OJ had the money and got off, that is the way the system works. As for pa...

re: Brandon Harris to Transfer - tccdc
For those that care...VT reached out to gauge his interest. We lost our QB Evans and only have a R-Fr who has never taken a snap, a true Freshman, and a Juco transfer from Nebraska who was more run than throw. ...

TN_Bhoy...assuming you were rocking up at Walkabout :nana:...but then the drunk % would be 99%.. I am pissed at Cuthbert, but the kick by Davies was atrocious and set that up that try. I am still in shock. I know it is hindsight, but had no problem with going for it as a scrum seemed like a ...
Why? Does anyone ever remember Oakley actually throwing a punch that looked like he knew how to fight? I remember a lot of pushing and slapping. Don't remember a punch thrown that looked athletic or dangerous. Oakley has been kind of living off a reputation that I don't recall being accurate....

re: Week day game at Wrigley vs week end game - tccdc
Good teams and weather, you usually can get a bleacher scalped for 120 if you work, and 75 or less up top. Other places in the stadium can be ridiculous. But when tickets go on sale, there usually is no problem for a Brewers game since they play so often, and its after Labor Day. You should b...

re: Week day game at Wrigley vs week end game - tccdc
Well, it really depends on when you are going. If you are talking a week day game in April or early May, easy tickets and not as crowded. After Memorial Day, it runs about the same....
