re: Going to court for a speeding ticket - CenlaMikePA
Got one in Quitman a month ago. I had the cruise set at 68 in a 65. He “clocked” me at 77. I tried explaining I was being passed by two vehicles when he “clocked” me but he didn’t care. Small towns are the worst. I called the following Monday and spoke to the mayor. When I asked about contesting it ...

re: Did Bomani Jones get suspended too - CenlaMikePA
I love how he tries to sound hood all the time and talk about all these hard dudes he knows. Dude his parents were both college professors. Doubt he was slumming in the streets. All of his stories revolve around his time in grad school with a bunch of white guys. Real hard core!...

re: Meet CenLA's new sports gal - CenlaMikePA
Alexandria is a training ground for new anchors. KALB has new young reporters and anchors constantly. They stay for a few months and get some experience then move on to bigger stations. Our weekend crew is never the same ones twice. ...

re: Jumper at the Belle yesterday - CenlaMikePA
A lady jumped off a local hospital parking garage in Alexandria recently too. Something about her boyfriend dumping her. She left a 6 y/o kid behind. Patient's families in icu waiting saw her jump. Side note: that's a hard core way to go. Even a gun can misfire or not necessarily kill you. Not t...

re: Ninjago was painful to watch - CenlaMikePA
I didn't like it either. Way too serious with the father/son drama, not very funny and overall just seems like a waste. I loved the Lego and lego batman movie. This seemed like a ripoff. Very disappointing. ...

re: American assassin thoughts? - CenlaMikePA
Glad to hear it is a good adaptation. Looks like they changed a fair bit from the book but that's not always the worst thing. I love Keaton in anything and the guy playing Rapp is a good actor as well. ...

I don't like that rugby style punt. Hope we can hold them off. Smith INT came at the worst time. ...

re: American assassin thoughts? - CenlaMikePA
I love the book series, actually started reading them this summer and almost have them all read. I was excited but nervous about a big screen adaptation. If it does well it could easily be the next series that makes multiple movies a la Jack Ryan. Some of the books read like a movie. Haven't seen it...

re: Mike and Mike Observation - CenlaMikePA
Wingo seems more like able and down to earth. Greenberg is very obnoxious which makes it hard to listen to often. I really only listen if there is a guest I want to hear, not for their back and forth banter. ...

My son played his first football game tonight and loved it! - CenlaMikePA
He's in 6th grade, never played before but said he wanted to try. He's at defensive end and some tight end. Ended with two solo tackles and a fumble recovery! Team won 32-16. Honestly it was a great moment as a parent seeing him so proud of himself and happy for the team win. I'm sure plenty of ...

re: Hollywood and politics. Harder and harder to enjoy some people's work. - CenlaMikePA
I don't watch TMZ or Entertainment Tonight. It's gotten so mainstream for these celebrities to have their opinions put out there it's everywhere. Like the other poster mentioned. Conservative opinions are shouted down as hate speech but liberals get open mic. ...

Yeah I agree if I stop watching them I'll never see another movie. I guess it's like banning a restaurant or store based on their policies. ...

Just had this discussion at work today. Especially with NFL. There has been an over saturation lately, even in the summer that's all you hear about that it's now year round. ...

Hollywood and politics. Harder and harder to enjoy some people's work. - CenlaMikePA
So many in Hollywood feel the need to cram their political opinions down our throat it's getting harder to separate them and enjoy their work. Emmys aside every time I see Clooney, Baldwin, and others that's now more what I think. I know some research lately says it has affected box office numbers. ...

re: Sitting near a know it all at a ball game. Ever happen to anyone else? - CenlaMikePA
Not sure his name. He said he kicked from 09-12. For some reason he mentioned he got to attempt three kicks from 50+ yards but missed all three. Not sure why someone would mention that if they missed all three. ...

Best part was the intro of former players including Luke McCown, Josh Scobee and Willie Roaf. I went to Tech with Scobee and McCown. Scobee kicked in the NFL for a long time. ...
