Does anyone really think this whole tournament idea is even plausable? We won't even get out of the nomination phase of it.

That's the best case scenario! You don't remember the threads on changing the logo and color scheme of the movie board. I've never seen more people spend so much time trying to do something with zero to show for it.
In other words, it was fricking gold.

This is just off the top of my head without really putting thought into it. I know a lot of folks would probably mention Savage Dragon here but I've never read those books even though I've heard great things.

If this is a strictly voting format, I think you are underestimating the popularity of Walking Dead.
And if you're going off super-powers you are underestimating Bigby Wolf as well.

I'm not saying Rick shouldn't be qualified, but I'd pretty much discount anyone voting for say Rick over Thor or Cyclops.
Is it a popularity contest? Since we're voting yes. But we can at least hope people be just a tad objective? I would think so.

I'd take Rick over Cyclops.
Thor would win that though for sure.
That is assuming we're going on matchups alone. Personally I think Thor is an incredibly lazy character design so if we're going on creativity I'd still have to vote Rick.

Hence why I think we should leave Batman out. Sure he has beaten some heavy hitters in the past, but only by putting so many qualifiers in play Batman became nothing more than a plot device.
