Well, to be fair, a rape scene with a giant metal spike cod piece that is killing a guy is a little different than a rape scene from SVU that was probably no nearly as long.

SVU's rape scene was NOTHING like last night. In fact, Olivia wasn't actually raped. The psycho stopped because she stopped fighting. Yeah I watch SVU.
They showed the actual bare-assed pounding with a spike and threw in some squishy sound effects just for fun. Not even close to be on the same level.

And yeah that was pretty rough to watch. They stayed focused on it for awhile...and it was....disturbing. But for anyone who's watched AHS from the beginning they know it's just one in a long line of sick stuff they come up.

Well that was the worst 30 min. of TV I've ever watched before turning it off. Unbelievable how this show has gone from outstanding to entertaining to bad TV to completely ridiculous bullshite.

Got to watch this tonight.
I have to give it more time but I think it will be something I tune in to from time to time. May not watch every week unless things get really good but could enjoy binging 2-3 episodes over a weekend every few weeks. Gaga wasn't horrible but she wasn't great, either. To be fair, I was paying a lot more attention to her acting since I know that isn't her thing.
I am going with the vampire theory. Plenty of allusions to that, as stated earlier. Bomer's character also made a very clear remark about hating the light. He also appeared dead at the end of the episode and my guess is that Gaga's character wanted him as her sex toy so she brings him back as a vamp.
The lady with the story about the dog is a character from season 1. In that season she sold the Murder House and had to take in the dog after the family died, so that was the dog she was referring to.
I guess for now I am most curious about who this killer guy is and what connection he has to the hotel. I assume that will be the main plot line as there wasn't much of one last night, it was more just an episode to introduce as many people as possible.

I'm not against it or saying it should be censored, but seeing the guy raped with that spike was pretty uncomfortable. I guess it was meant to be like a regular rape. Just this one you know he was getting literally impaled.
A lot of sexual scenes, kids should not watch, though I saw worse as a ten year old.
