I’m surprised at all the negativity in this thread. If you’re a fan of this grrm universe, I don’t see how you can NOT be excited about this. It won’t need your help on the ratings, it will be stupidly successful ...
A “F” in English? , Bobby you speak English. One of the goat quotes...
Scary as hell. Seriously? Yea I get it the movie is a “slow burn” but this movie sucks honestly. I guess it’s worth a watch but I went into it with high expectations and it sucked ...
One of the articles I read said he had stated he had no interest in doing another. But you never know, if this one is really successful he may reconsider ...
Saw it today with zero prior knowledge of the books. I left the theatre thinking “I really liked it but feel like I’m not sure what just happened” After reading a few explanations of the ending, (the Screenrant and Collider articles are good) I have a better understanding and even more appreciatio...
Based on age, I could excuse not seeing one of these. Like maybe too young for Field of Dreams, or too old to every catch Sandlot. But to not see ANY of those three?!! Even if he HATES baseball, he should watch Major League. Hilarious ...

I know this board absolutely creams for this movie, I guess I need to give it a rewatch.....
I hated Marlo. He came off as such a stone cold badass, but they never showed him doing anything that would warrant such a reputation. He should have been given a little more backstory as to how he became top dog. Maybe it was explained and I just don't remember. It's been a couple years si...
Omar Slim Charles is a pretty cool cat, he deserved more screen time ...

Saw it today, enjoyed it from start to finish. It had some good comedic relief but the theatre wasn't laughing the whole time. I agree that the acting was solid, the "pervy" dialogue seemed very on line with my times as a 13 year old. Kind of wish I didn't see the trailer as it kind of gave aw...
The battles in The Silmarillion are definitely on a much much bigger scale. I would love to see it adapted as a Netflix series or something. I think you could skip a lot of the creation of middle earth stuff and start with the awakening of the elves and still make it work well. Fingolfin vs Mor...

About 1/3 through The Shining. Love the movie so figured I'd read the book. Just dredged through a really boring chapter about the previous hotel owners...
I just finished Oz and thought it was very good. HBO Go and OnDemand has all the episodes. Thought it was just ok at first, but then I really got hooked by the end of season 1...
