I was right. They only had Ford for two weeks.

Spoiler
IMDb says ford in all 8 episodes

He is listed for 8 episodes. Maybe they are going to have flashbacks.

I agree and hate Spencer heading to the Yellowstone.

I bet they show some flashbacks to when he got there and saved the kids.

They ever going to explain how this family has no money but yet has the largest ranch in Montana? Did they just show up in 1883 and claim everything they saw? The homestead act only allowed you to claim like 160 acreas... so how did they end up with 776,000 acres?

They made a big deal in 1883 about the amount of gold John brought west. In 1923 the Cattle business would have been booming. I’d imagine the ranch wouldn’t have started having more expenses than revenue until the later half of the 19th century

I predict it will not be good for the sheep herders if Spencer comes home.??

Yes. Let’s not forget we’re dealing with Taylor Sheridan. John Dutton was blasted by machine guns from 20 yards and was saved by a 4 inch iPhone

Yeah, I also love how the sheep farmer was as accurate with that fully-automatic Tommygun as Chris Kyle was with a .338 at 200 yards.

Not much discussion about the Indian school with the nazi nuns. It really pisses me off. I hope they all revolt and beat the shite out of the nuns and the gestapo.

Nazi party started in 1920...so right timeframe but pretty sure they were in Bavaria and not Montana.

Mmmk thanks. It was just a comparison.

Now, this is the kind of Yellowstone type episode we needed. Pretty sure everyone saw the ambush coming when Jacob sent the rest of the group ahead. Which seemed dumb but, i guess he assumed Bron died during the hanging.
The sort of electricity movement part was fun. The washing machine and refrigerator. Cara talking about women shaving their legs leading to them eventually shaving "between their legs". Kind of made me wonder, when did women start shaving their legs?
Assuming the family tree is accurate, it actually spoils a few things.
Jack and Elizabeth are John II's parents so, she obviously survives with her baby factory intact.
And the tree has no mention of Spencer's wife so, I guess something happens to her along the way?

They can't put her on the tree if they don't know about her. I'm guessing this character was just written in, if they do get married then you'll see her in future family trees. Gotta remember they are writing new shows and plot lines each season.

Have loved the africa storyline but its ran the course by now. They had to establish Spencer as a badass stalker/hunter/shooter.
The Irish are fooked

I thought that this episode was pretty damn cheesy, and super b-rate.

I have no clue why the Indian girl arc is in here yet and the show as a whole is all over the place. It seems like I am watching multiple shows at the same time. So basically the season is gong to be about creating everyone's backstory and than the whole family coming together back on the ranch including Spencer.
I’m thinking the Indian girl is Thomas Rainwater’s mother.

If she’s 16ish, no way she’s his mother unless she waited until she was in her mid to late 40s to have a kid.
