Duncan.

The guy was a beast in his prime and as he aged he had a nice little elbow jumper too.

At age 40, Duncan was top 20 in DWS and top 10 in Defensive win shares last season. Most big men fall off the map as age and injuries end up getting them. Not Duncan.

I'm not sure we see another fundamentally sound player as Duncan. Even with little mobility he was giving double doubles.

Kobe scored a lot but don't forgot he shot the ball a lot. He has the most 40+ shot attempt games.

I'm sure it's probably been said in the thread, but the only thing I don't like in these threads is Duncan sort of gets overinflated historically by labeling him a PF when he was basically a center.

The fact that Kobe played that insanely inefficient brand of basketball and still put up those numbers and won 5 titles lol. I would love to see another player since 2000 go out and shoot his team to glory with multiple defenders in his face. Pre-zone defense like a lot of the guys listed and he averages even more PPG.

Being the top menace on defense while leading the league in scoring does. Stop letting advanced analytics warp your mind. Those #s don't tell the entire story & never can

Bad teammates constantly throw you a hand grenade while the shot clock is at 2 & you have to chunk bad ones? There goes your true shooting %!

Who has more 1st team all defense selections than Kobe? Or more selections to the team overall? Just stop

Duncan. Same amount of championships and Finals MVPs, but with one more MVP. Plus Kobe routinely got clowned by his own teammate

I'd rather be 6'7 than 7'0...those extra few inches make ducking through doorways a hassle. It's the little things in life.

Plus, Kobe is top 5 VIP in L.A, which is one of the most beautiful cities on earth beaches babes & weather. I'd take that one, no diss to Duncan

We've come so far in the last 10 years to really better understand the role of efficiency in today's game. Knowing that, I just don't think you can put Kobe in the top 10, and 15ish/closer to 20 seems more fair, and I certainly don't think it's "stupid"

Some (not all) Lebron fans are irrational...they will make any asinine argument to tear down his competition to boost Lebron's historical stature. It's absurd.

Top 5 scorer of all time, 5x NBA champion, Multiple scoring titles, MOST 1st team defensive/all defensive team selections of all time, 20 seasons same team (didn't bail when going got tough), etc......and he is 15-20???

HOW IN THE frick DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENSE IN THE MOST DELUSIONAL OF WORLDS?

But Tim Duncan has an estimated net worth of 150 Million. When you are that rich, you look for shite that money cant buy. Like MVPs......

Kinda hard to get the MVP when you have a 7'1 340 lb alien from Krypton on the same team as you for nearly 1/2 your career. An alien who happened to also be a top 10 player of all time that the NBA had to change rules for because he was so dominant.. So there's also that.

Well, 3 of those were because he was playing with the most dominant big man in the history of the league.

Have you ever been to LA? Meh. Now other parts of California are awesome, but the LA area is pretty shite IMO.

Out of my 4 posts just now, THIS is the one you chose to weigh in on. God, I love the MSB!

You ducked my arguments to re-direct the convo, but I will say this: Los Angeles County is pretty big bro. I've lived there. Green rolling hills for miles, mountains, beautiful beaches, if you can't enjoy L.A. county on a scenic level I feel sorry for you
