Aaron isnt really in the debate. For some reason, likely his Emo personality compared to the rugged men of the frozen tundra, Aaron hasnt quite seen the love that Favre did.

They did love them some Robin Yount though.

Kirby Puckett is the most popular Minnesota athlete ever. I don't think it's even a debate.

If it's not MJ now, it will be once those old folks die off.

Babe Ruth is way too old. It is without a doubt MJ

Babe being that old proves he is the answer to me. Like I said, he is still unbelievably well known. Every little kid has called their shot. They all the Bambino. He has proven the test of time

Without a doubt is a little strong. I don't think half the people who know of Ruth could pick him out of a lineup, but his name is still as big as it gets.

Some random ones:

Washington - Maybe Ovechkin or a Redskin from the super bowl teams
Phoenix - Steve Nash?
Tampa Bay - Warren Sapp or Vincent Lecavalier (leaning Vinny for his charity work in Tampa) will eventually be Jameis

Cincinnati: Griffey Jr.?

Really?

I can think of many Cincinnati athletes more revered there than Griffey.

Joe Morgan, Pete Rose, Ickey Woods, Oscar Robertson, Kenyon Martin, etc...

I disagree about the lineup thing. Babe is such a distinct face he is still unbelievably recognizable

Now I'm 50 years, MJs face won't be as recognizable because it is more generic

Dallas is 100% Staubach. He is worth $600MM after football and one of the richest, most successful athletes in the world.
