re: What other sport compares to getting as aumped up as playoff hockey? - Bags of Milk
[quote]I still don't know how hockey is more popular than the NBA... Considering you can't see shite on TV and all sports fans are going mostly TV. (But hockey kills the NBA live, kills it. NBA is garbage live...worst sport ever live.) But hockey is apparently still more popular than the NB...

re: Connor McDavid with his adoring fans - Bags of Milk
As an Oilers fan, I would do that trade 10/10 times again. Larsson has been a huge factor on the blue line. Defensive dmen typically don't get the love they deserve but he's been awesome. I wish Hall the best but it's been clear that the Oilers are much better on the backend now. ...

re: Who is the most revered athlete in cities with multiple pro franchises? - Bags of Milk
Oh yeah the cards would count. I'd say Fitz then as he's popular even with snowbirds (tons of Cardinals fans here). What would a city like Vegas be (no franchises yet)? Gotta be a fighter, maybe Maywearher or Pacquiao? ...

Some random ones: Washington - Maybe Ovechkin or a Redskin from the super bowl teams Phoenix - Steve Nash? Tampa Bay - Warren Sapp or Vincent Lecavalier (leaning Vinny for his charity work in Tampa) will eventually be Jameis ...

I'm a bigger fan of Bure but talking with some Canucks fans you'd have thought you were insulting their mothers if you try to suggest Linden was anything but a god. ...

re: Who is the most revered athlete in cities with multiple pro franchises? - Bags of Milk
I'd say Toronto is definitely the toughest of the Canadian cities. I'd go with Doug Gilmore, they have had such horrible playoff success though so it's tough. Vancouver - Trevor Linden Calgary - Lanny MacDonald Edmonton - Wayne Gretzky Winnipeg - Teemu Selanne Toronto - Doug Gilmore O...

Who is the most revered athlete in cities with multiple pro franchises? - Bags of Milk
Some cities like Chicago (Jordan) are fairly obvious but others are not so much Los Angeles - Probably Kobe New York - Babe Ruth vs Jeter vs Joe Namath Boston - Tom Brady vs Larry Bird vs Bobby Orr vs Ted Williams Pittsburgh - Mario Lemieux vs Terry Bradshaw vs Big Ben Philadelph...

re: Female Oilers fans upset after women’s bathrooms are swapped to accommodate men at arena - Bags of Milk
What are you talking about? Men can easily use a toilet while standing. I've been to games at the stadium, whomever designed the bathroom situation was an idiot. The bathrooms have like 4 urinals and 2 stalls for 2 sections of people. The lineups for the bathrooms are crazy. Makes sense tha...

re: Female Oilers fans upset after women’s bathrooms are swapped to accommodate men at arena - Bags of Milk
General consensus around Edmonton is that this is fine. They switch the bathrooms around for more female centric concerts such as John Mayer so there is more women's washrooms. Sidebar: the bathroom situation at Rogers place is a travesty for a brand new arena ...

re: Where does Sidney Crosby rank on the NHL all-time list? - Bags of Milk
I can totally see where you are coming from. I could see him and Crosby both ending up Top 15 when it's all said and done. People tend to get a bit more nostalgic as players get near the end of their careers too. Pure goal scorer wise, Ovi is a treat to watch. I'd agree that he's probably the bes...

re: Where does Sidney Crosby rank on the NHL all-time list? - Bags of Milk
I hadn't really thought where to put Ovi to be honest. However with Richard you have to remember he played in an era where they only played 50 (at the start of his career) to 70 games a year. Ovechkin is going to have way better odds to score 50 when he's playing 12-32 games more per year. R...

I'd say about 20-25th: 1. Gretzky 2. Orr 3. Lemieux 4. Howe 5. Hull 6. Richard 7. Beliveau 8. Boutique 9. Harvey 10. Hasek 11. Shore 12. Morenz 13. Roy 14. Plante 15. Lidstrom 16. Mikita 17. Potvin 18. Lafleur 19. Esposito 20. Jagr 21. Clarke 22. Crosby 23. Messi...

re: Nashville Predators- NHL Playoffs - Bags of Milk
I'm really hoping for an Edmonton-Nashville conference final. Both arenas will be rocking. Will be nice to get some fresh blood in the conference finals too. Both fan bases deserve it. That being said, I hope the Oilers win. Nashville has had their number all season but I think the series comes ...
