Some cities like Chicago (Jordan) are fairly obvious but others are not so much

Los Angeles - Probably Kobe

New York - Babe Ruth vs Jeter vs Joe Namath

Boston - Tom Brady vs Larry Bird vs Bobby Orr vs Ted Williams

Pittsburgh - Mario Lemieux vs Terry Bradshaw vs Big Ben

Philadelphia - Allen Iverson vs Rocky vs Bobby Clarke maybe

Some of the cities are difficult like Buffalo, maybe Jim Kelly?

Has anyone had a trajectory like LeBron?

He's gone from Cleveland's most revered, to its most hated, to its most revered

Wasn't LA a much bigger baseball/Dodger town before Magic's arrival? The Lakers became as big and popular as they are almost entirely due to Magic.

NBA MVP from Buffalo. MacAdoo.

Kelly actually won AFC 4 x, so Kelley.

I would say he is unique here. It really is an interesting situation

Not to hijack but I thought I read this opposite and it presented a good question, are there any athletes thought of as the face of a city/most beloved in multiple cities?
