Larry Fedora is another name that might be a good fit.

Internet rumor is that Montgomery could be a real possibility in the immediate future.

I saw on Twitter that ESPN radio in Waco reported Baylor was interviewing him this week.

Could be false.

Just because you won big for a few years with Briles doesn't mean that you stopped being Baylor. Why would Fedora leave UNC for Baylor?

No way they hire a guy who was employed by Baylor as an assistant coach during the period of many of the allegations.

Mack Brown would be good.

He's already got the yellow teeth, just needs a green shirt and he's good to go.

This, though I'd contest the whole "won big" part of the above sentience.

Baylor finished ranked in the Top 25 just 4 times under Briles in addition to a few mediocre bowls, and he completely blew both of the good bowls they played in.

They were 16.5 point favorites against UCF (!) in the Fiesta Bowl and lost, and their Cotton Bowl loss against Michigan State consisted of some of the worst coaching I've ever seen at any level of football. His bowl wins were in the Alamo, Holiday and Russell Athletic Bowls.

Let's stop acting like they were Oregon south.

You are delusional if you think Baylor is a better job than UNC

Apart from Baylor beating the shite out of UNC without a quarterback, it's definitely a better job.

Apart from a Baylor having 5 schools in state competing for the same recruits (plus OU,OSU, LSU, ect.), questionable future, and historical doormat

Not to mention its in fricking Waco

Not to mention there is a good chance that Baylor won't be in a major ocnference in 5 years.

Morris needs to win more than 1 game as a head coach before we anoint him

I'd keep an eye on Lincoln Riley

is a good man/person and a good coach. If this season works out ok with all this around them they could do much worse than giving him the gig full time

Their first call should be Tom Herman.

This will be a very short phone call (if he even picks up)

He turned down better gigs before the extent of this mess broke
