Would you be making this thread if Cam Newton was blowing penis? No. Stop using hindsight, dipshit.

If you remember, the first mock drafts had Cam as a mid-first round pick. Obviously, Cam impressed the scouts enough to be #1, but he was not projected to be the god like Andrew Luck is.

Seriously, go watch Andrew Luck play. He is terrific.

not that far, and he is still in his rookie season

you are asking why is he better; tell me of all things I listed, which one is Cam better than Luck at? Yes, he has all those attributes, but none really better than Luck other than running outside the pocket.

There's your answer. No one is saying Cam sucks. But he is not better than Luck at any of those things nor did he have the luxury of better tutored under an NFL QB in a pro style offense.

That Newton isn't an elite pro passer. If that's the case, how many are there since Cam is in the top 3-5 in nearly every passing statistic as a rookie.

he is a terrific QB and no doubt he should be the #1 pick, I guess I'm just wondering why the scouts AND fans think so differently of the two as prospects, and I don't think race has a fricking thing to do with it, but I would like to know why,

and cam isn't blowing penis, he is awesome, like I expect Luck to be, but Luck is the best prospect ever on this board, why was Cam not viewed as highly?

as a prospect everyone was saying he sucks.

and I think cam is bigger, faster and has the same arm strenght, I see a couple of things Luck did marginally better, but nothing to explain the disparity of how the two were viewed at the same stage

he is having a good rookie year, but how can you say he is an elite passer at this point?

he is in the company of Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc?

My point flew over your head. If Cam Newton was having a terrible rookie year, then would you be starting this thread? I doubt it.

I think Luck has a ways to go as well before he gets in that company, but surprisingly, Cam ain't too far behind and he plays on a shite team

He is considered a better prospect because when scouts saw Cam it equaled to Jamarcus Russell in their minds...

HH is correct. Luck is polished. Newton was (and still is) raw.

Luck has elite passer written all over him. Due to his lack of polish, the same could not be said for Newton last year.

yeah...because blowing penis as a rookie in the NFL is not a big deal. Most every qb sucks their rookie year

Look, obviously you are not going to change your short-sighted opinion, so there is no point explaining it.

Andrew Luck is better than Cam Newton (at Auburn) at every single aspect of the game, except for running outside of the pocket.

Put it this way. Who is the better student? Student A gets a 100% on every assignment. Student B gets around a 90% on his assignments. Andrew Luck is student A. It is that simple. He is just a better prospect because he is better at being at a QB.

what stats? what planet are you on?

guys like Rodgers and Brees are completing 70% of their passes.

Newton is barely over 60

I didn't think Cam had the accuracy to make it in the NFL. I still think that it will be the hurdle he has trouble with before being considered "elite"

66% last year when a lot of those completions were due to wide open passes thanks to his run game

while Luck has had 70%+ completion percentage the last two years with much less at receiver than Cam has

Brady, Brees, Rodgers - 104.4, 100.6, and an absolutely insane 125.7
