in terms of the thought experiment, it could be only applied to specific charges such as second degree murder, manslaughter, rapes, etc....

hypothetical: could a city ban ex-convicts for a specified period of time? - LSUlunatic
it doesn't seem remotely feasible, but as a thought experiment, is it even possible? fyi: this thread was the byproduct of a thought experiment re: the previous thread about improving new orleans....

re: State officials lose hope that Louisiana can reverse coastal land loss - LSUlunatic
Coming from NO, it's darkly humorous to me to see all the people with wealth and influence play dress up for bull shite charity 'causes' instead of concern over the coast which is an existential crisis.
I've lived in New Orleans for the past few years & it doesn't seem like there's an...

re: State officials lose hope that Louisiana can reverse coastal land loss - LSUlunatic
I'm very ignorant on this subject matter, but it doesn't seem like anything will slow down the rising sea levels and the erosion of South Louisiana. I just wonder how this will impact New Orleans and South Louisiana going forward. Honestly, I don't know how New Orleans is going to survive in 50-...

I need help at middle infield. - LSUlunatic
I drafted Zobrist and Russell, and they are both pretty meh right now, so I picked up E. Suarez and N. Walker, but historically, they're kinda meh as well. Outside of waiting for Trea Turner to get called up, what advice do y'all have? Any other prospects I should keep an eye on?...

re: MLB thoughts after the first month the season - LSUlunatic
With how Roarke is playing, I think they ought to call up Giolito as a reliever and then ease him into starting next year. It would good be a good way of managing his innings and keeping him in line for postseason opportunities....

re: MLB thoughts after the first month the season - LSUlunatic
Nats are good, but are going to get better once Revere gets healthy and they finally call up Trea Turner. Philly's turnaround has very impressive. The NL wildcard race is gonna be awesome to watch down the stretch....

re: Entrepreneur/Startup Lectures, Videos, Podcasts - LSUlunatic
I was the poster who linked the Sam Altman lectures. Glad you liked them. If you thought those were helpful, I really recommend Paul Graham's essays. Also, I really don't know of any podcasts that would be incredibly useful. I listen to Y Combinator's podcast, as well as the Recode/Decode podcasts -...

re: Forming an S Corp. Cheapest way to do it? Benefits vs LLC? - LSUlunatic
I'm pretty sure I've read that S-Corps are better if you plan on raising investment and potentially having an IPO (i.e. better for tech companies). If neither of those apply, I think LLC is probably the way to go. ...
