Blake Griffin without a frickin doubt.

He can dunk. That's it.

His entire game revolves around dunking. No jump shot. Minimal post moves. Shite free throw shooter.

Makes millions.

Has he ever done this when it has mattered. The guy is terrible in the playoffs.

He is great on Tuesday night against the Bobcats, in the playoffs when it matters.....err not so much.

And Dwight Howard is still the best center in the NBA. Dude led the league in rebounding again, was 2nd in double doubles, essentially 1st in FG%, 5th in blocks, and averaged 17 ppg in an injury plagued year. Yes he is a bitch, but he is still one of the 10 best players in the league.

Give me Marc Gasol, Brooke Lopez, or Noah over the last 2 years of Dwight Howard.

If we are discussing 2 years ago then yes he was easily the best center in the league. Right now not so much.

You can't play Dwight at the end of a game. It starts right there and ends there really.

What does he do better than Marc Gasol? Other than maybe rebound the ball better.

That is infinitely more comical than saying Howard is still the best C in the league.

Howard didnt lead shite Orlando teams to the playoffs by sitting at the end of games. We aren't talking about Deandre Jordan or Javale McGee here.

Well if you like stats.. more points, more blocks, more rebounds, more steals, along with a better FG%.

Marc Gasol is a good player, don't get me wrong. But he is the flavor of the week (take a back seat, Steph Curry!) because his team is playing well in the playoffs. He isn't even the best Gasol (that's another story). Before you tell me he is one of the best passing and shooting big men in the game, yes, I agree that he is.

The answer is Carmelo.

Griffin's actually pretty efficient, even if it is because all of his shots come within 3 feet.

I just don't get it. Wade is teflon! Whenever he plays poorly, everybody is just lining up to give excuses for him, always blaming it on injuries. Maybe, IDK, hes in his 30s and those years of driving to the rim and getting beat up game in and game out are starting to catch up to him

do you really believe Howard is a better shooter than Gasol? Howards FG attempts are at the rim. Remember,DeAndre Jordan led the league in FG%-is he the best shooter in the NBA or better than Howard and Gasol? Also, not that it's the end all stat, but Gasol PER > Howards, EWA also superior.
quote:

Shaq had 1 post move

he had two.
Shaq was also a great passer out of the low block

quote:

more rebounds

playing the low post and your role being the primary rebounder you will look superior to a guy who plays in the high post, is coached to get back on D instead crash the offensive glass (read a scouting report/Hollinger analysis pre-Memphis if you don't believe) and playing with one of the best rebounders of the last 10 years.

Gasol has the higher basketball IQ, as evident that the team runs the offense thru him, not to him. Howard is still a terrible passer(btw). Gasol has more post moves and equally if not superior defensive player. Although I will admit Howards injuries have played apart.

Aside from athleticism(which looks to be breaking down), what in his skill set is superior Gasol?

FTR, I think a healthy Howard is number 2 center in the nba, but I think those two are in a class above the rest(maybe a healthy Bynum).
