Just so we're clear, you think Wade with Q/Haslem/Rookie Chalmers should have been better than KG/Pierce/Garnett/Rondo
no I think the Heat could have managed better in an awful east and in a division that included Charlotte and Washington...

The Heat won 47 games that year with Michael Beasley as their 2nd best player. If you don't think that is terrible, we'll agree to disagree.

But you have to also say that Kobe is overrated because he wasn't getting out of the 1st round post-Shaq either, right?

Blake Griffin. Can't wait to see where his numbers go if Chris Paul leaves, which is what the Clips expect to happen.

Griffin's numbers and efficiency have declined every year he's been in the league, and he's been playing with the best point guard alive.

Not a good sign for him.

So which one is it? He's going to suck without Paul? Or has he gotten worse with Paul?

Why do you keep projecting the current state of the league on the league 3-4 years ago? This is becoming a theme. Charlotte was not a bad team 4 years ago.

at what point do accomplishments with a good supporting cast outweigh accomplishments without because Kobe is so far ahead of Wade there I think we might be going into a debate I don't have time for

So if Wade and LEbron win 3 more titles, then all of a sudden you'll say Wade is legit?

Or will you continue to say Wade is overrated?

Kobe is only so far ahead of Wade in the team accomplishment category. Wade has produced more and more efficiently for his career than Kobe, you can easily make that argument that the supporting casts have been the difference.

ALso, Charlotte won 44 games the year you're talking about, not sure what you're doing there.

I'd be interested to see how many people's most overrated player is also their most hated players.

pretty much, I entered this thread feeling strongly about Carmelo and Joe Johnson and not that strongly with Wade...then I had to go to blows over it

I would like to add Monta Ellis and Rudy Gay into the discussion.

I'd also throw out DeAndre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe..

I say this because there are rumors of the Hornets trading for them. Neither comes close to earning the money they will inevitably get.

Agree with Rudy Gay, Tyson Chandler, and Iguodala

Except today's EC =/= the EC vs WC of a few year's ago.

It was much closer competition in terms of the 2 conferences a few year's ago. There was a 1 or 2 year span around that time(not sure if it was that specific year) that the EC had a better record head to head vs the WC.

That's what JTurn already mentioned in a previous post that the current disparity between the 2 is irrelevant to the disparity then.

And I'd like to point out yet again, and feel free to show me where I'm wrong, how does winning 47 games with Michael Beasley as your 2nd best player, then losing in the 1st round to Boston and KG/Rondo/Allen/ Pierce = overrated and underachiever?
