maybe tears of joy after watching the atletico equalizer.

but really, tulane fans want ULL to host. the more host sites in state, the less likely it is that we get sent out of state to some hard national seed host like State or A&M.

Texas beat TCU to force an if necessary semifinal game. Let's hope old arse Augie can pull another one out.

very unlikely.

if ULL doesn't win their conference tournament, tulane might have a very, very small chance.

Tulane's unofficial RPI down to 32 (1 spot below La Tech). I don't see them hosting.

Cajuns unofficial RPI at 15 according to Warren Nolan

This Tulane fan wants to play out of state. Sick of these jammed up regionals. My guess it's BR again and they'll bring an out of state team to play ULL (if they host) and jam up the BR regional. Rather go to Lft than BR. I need to get to Lft anyway...that will be convenient.

Correct me if Im wrong, but the host sites will be announced tomorrow, one day before the team selections. So more than likely, today will be the last day of games that will really have a effect on who hosts. Should bode well for Lafayette, but maybe not so much for a Southern Miss.

With Oregon State's win over UCLA yesterday, it bumped their RPI to 50, which gives Arizona three more wins vs the top 50(11-8). Their RPI went all the way up to 22. Id definitely bet on them hosting as a #1 seed now.

Fullerton won their series against Long Beach, and won the Big West. Their RPI is still pretty high at 42, so if there is only one west coast host, they are probably out.

I think UCSB is out as well even though they are 21st in RPI. Finished only 13-11 in the Big West. Lost their last series vs a bad Riverside, and also had series losses against UC Davis and Cal Poly in conference.

Miami, Florida, Louisville, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, LSU, Texas Tech, and the Clemson/Florida State winner should be the national seeds.

Clemson/Florida State loser, Virginia, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and TCU should be locks to host.

Personally, I think Arizona and Louisiana Lafayette have done enough to be hosts.

North Carolina State, Coastal Carolina, and Southern Miss are probably the three teams vying for the last host spot, with a Big West team a long shot. Im not sure a sixth team from the ACC gets a host bid, and the committee seems to like to give hosts to smaller teams when they have great seasons. So I think Southern Miss gets the spot with a win tomorrow, but a loss gives it to Coastal Carolina.

Im home bored, so Ill probably do a full 64 team mock tonight before the big games tomorrow.

We just finished with back to back losses in the ACC Tournament to Clemson and Virginia. I am not an expert in college baseball, but does this hurt us national seed wise? I would think we might fall a couple spots.
