It burnt them because of referee incompetence.

The exact opposite of this is true. Dan Campbell even said in his presser that he went through it “to a t” with the officials.

You’re flat out making shite up.

correct
Gene Steratore said usually about two hours before the game, each HC will have a short meeting with the officials and discuss anything unusual or trick plays they might run. There is a white board in the reff dressing room and some HCs will even draw up the formations and plays for the reffs. Campbell discussed this exact play with the reffs AND the TV crew calling the game.

Why not both, if Dallas was informed of 68 then is he uncovered in the end zone?

BA wasn’t in that meeting.

There is a shite right by the lions huddle before the play where you can hear it plain as day. Also lions coaching staff can inform Goff that 68 is not eligible.

Yes you can barely hear it on the parabolic microphones. You think the players on the field heard it clearly?

You are really quite dumb.

And #58 went to the referee to tell him what exactly?

I want someone on the cowboys to just come out and admit that the retard ref told them the wrong number reported eligible.

This is some low shite by the NFL. Not as bad as the Nola No Call but it’s pushing it

Maybe, maybe not. Not like we've never seen tackle eligible plays work before though.

Do they work when the wrong player is called eligible.

Since Goff was on the other end of this, I'm ok with it despite the obvious cheating that occurred.

It's the only reason I'm not that outraged, although that ref should be fired for fricking with Vegas' payrolls.

I read somewhere this morning that the HEAD REFEREE was not part of the discussion. I’m not sure if that’s 100% true or not just yet.

Also, what a meat head like Campbell thinks is going through it completely may not mean the same thing to everybody else

No but again that's the ref's fault not the Lions.

If 68 goes by himself to the ref and reports then we won’t have this controversy but DC thought he could deceive the defense on who was eligible even though the ref informs the defense and announces over the PA. It’s not that uncommon of a play but the theatrics made it overly complicated.

I just wish Detroit would’ve got two more chances to make it after that though

Kind of like I wish the Saints and Brees would’ve got the ball back after the PI penalty against the Rams that year so they would’ve had an opportunity to win the game after they were cheated

Complicated in the sense that 3 people are in front of you and you can't remember which one talked to you and said "reporting eligible" 5 seconds later.

Just send 68 next time

But didn’t Dan Campbell say in his postgame press conference that the ref told him TWO players can’t mark themselves eligible? Which we know is not true. That’s not the point. But how come Dan doesn’t object to two guys being marked eligible? Meaning he never says well we weren’t asking for two guys to be eligible

But 70 says he didn’t say anything. So… somebody on Detroit is lying about two players being eligible

What does it matter? #68 went and reported. #70 didn’t.

Official fricked out and announced that #70 reported.

Better ban play action and the read option

Yes because play action has never resulted in the qb being sacked and the option as never resulted in a fumble.

When you are entirely reliant on an official for your play that’s a bad play.

It’s a “he said, she said” situation at this point. BA should’ve been in the pregame coaches meeting and only 68 should’ve approached the ref.
