3 TDs

That are his stats for the 3 Super Bowls.

Obviously he is 2-1.

Along with his decent stats outside of the Super Bowl I would say he is a good active QB. I wouldn't put him anywhere close to Brady, Manning, and Brees. He shouldn't be anywhere near the HOF.

well put

Not historically, but in the NFL today he is.

I'd go with VERY GOOD qb

I think Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers are your only true Elite QBs

Rivers and Ben being the obvious next 2 with Rivers being a better all around qb and Ben being more clutch

I'd say there is a bigger gap between 6 and 7 then there is between 4 and 5.

So I consider them all elite. To each his own though.

Still can't take away what he has already done.

What has he done that someone like Brad Johnson couldn't do?

Big Ben reaped the benefits from having a killer defense that bails him out ALL of the time. Only this time, it was all on him for the Steeler's final drive and he couldn't deliver.

Rating qbs based entirely on SB rings is a flawed argument. Jim Kelly was a much better qb and won zero rings while in Buffalo.

Like it or not ben is elite in the present nfl i only take 5 guys before him

so that would mean 6 of the 32 teams in the NFL have "elite qbs"

to me elite is not a term that 20% of the league should have

This is the main reason I say all are elite.

How about getting his team to 3 super bowls

Drew Brees would have killed to have the defenses Ben has had

the point is that if you give him a defense like Ben has had his whole career, then Drew would probably have multiple SB wins

He's only 28 years old, its not like his career is over. He's got plenty of time to win 1 or 2 more Superbowls. If his oline wasn't so banged up, we might have seen a different result in the game anyway.

And he already is elite FWIW. However, now that the game is over, I believe that Aaron Rodgers has shown he should be considered an elite quarterback.

I'm saying he is not bc of his numbers in the playoffs, and the fact that he has the number one defense to bail him out

How did his defense bail him out today?

I always thought he was good, but I just think he needed a championship to solidify that.

hence why they lost. the clutch qb sucked it up when it was all on the line.

and if you want to see what his D did against AZ watch the last play of the first half. if not for that fluke play they lose that game
