I've always wondered why people don't go with Tee Martin vs Peyton Manning?

Martin made plays at Tennessee. Barker was extremely "meh" as a QB.

I guess you didn't watch how the only way that they were in the position to win that game was because of the greatest defensive play in SB history.

More like the greatest WTF moment. One yard short was the greatest defensive play.

Harrison's massive pick 6 was by far the greatest play. The one yard short play was dramatic because it was at the end of the game, but generating a 14 point swing is much more significant.

right - but tee won a NC and beat florida one year after manning left UT without being able to do those things

much closer to the same thing when they were on much more similar teams than most of these comparisons

Barker was carried by his defense and running game.

Big Ben gets A LOT more help from his defense and running game than his supporters are willing to admit.

not the point i was driving at

every QB with some success has factors affecting that success (opponents and team-mates)

the best QB (or other position) comparisons are the ones that are the most similar... if you bring in a new QB and then the team does better that seems like the best comparison

except in this case that would mean tee martin was a better college Qb than peyton manning
