This is nuts. Just as nuts as making an open air stadium in Texas.

You fricking ROAST in the outfield and down the 3rd base line.

Some people are just pussies. I've watch many games at the ballpark and it isn't any hotter than the Cotton Bowl, Kyle Field, DKR or any other outdoor stadium in Texas.

Arlington is SO much nicer than it was 20 years ago.

I mean I'd easily pay an additional $10 per game ticket for my two season tickets if it meant I got to sit in A/C.

I mean my seats are in the shade in RF, but it still gets pretty freaking hot out there.

Baseball and football were meant to be played outdoors in real grass.

Thank you. Do kids not play summer league baseball in Texas.

If you can sit and watch a kids game or go to your kid's games then you can sit and watch a game that starts at 7pm most summer nights.

Don't care. Not my problem

Beautiful new park in 72 degrees all season, I'll be there.

It's the new normal. Deal with it

I fricking envy the trillions that DFW invests in entertainment and development but this is overkill!

I'm not sure why Arlington gets so much hate here. Yeah, it's a suburb and somewhat dull, but beyond that...it's a great place for stadiums as far as traffic flow. It's not THAT far from Dallas or Fort Worth. FW city proper has a top 15-20 population in the US. The Rangers would be stupid to not take advantage of that by building a stadium half way in between the cities.

You realize football starts at the end of summer and heat is only an issue for maybe 2 games a season?

How often have you been to Texas in late September-mid October?

Look up their bullpen savior Matt bush

Who did 39 months of a 51 month sentence for his crimes.

Who had to have his tryout in the parking lot at the Golden Corral where he worked--because, under the terms of his work release, he could only go to and from work on his bike (no place else) and had to do so in a strict time limit, or return to prison.

Who STILL can't legally drive and won't be able to do so for another NINE YEARS.

What Matt Bush did was wrong. But he did his sentence and has complied with his probation.

At some point something has to give. The taxpayers can't keep footing the bill for these billion dollar private businesses.

For $1 billion dollars can't we start building these fricking things to last more than 30 years?

No.

It's time to tear down Tiger Stadium, Bryant-Denny, The Big House and Lambeau too.

The traffic flow is fricking terrible. The location isn't that huge of a problem, though a baseball stadium should probably be downtown, but the traffic flow is HORRIBLE. There is always a traffic jam on the Bush trying to get to the game from north Dallas, where the majority of the people in DFW live, meaning a 20-minute drive without traffic usually takes one and half hours on game night. And the ground streets in Arlington by the stadium have terrible traffic flow, leading to huge traffic delays getting out of the games.

Traffic is so bad for Cowboys games that it's not worth going at all. I have never been to a stadium with worse post-game traffic than the two in Arlington. It's horrific.

Let the Astro fans sulk while they sit back however many games it is behind us and celebrate just being at .500.

I said 2 games max because there will be road games and night games on the schedule.

A majority of the baseball season is during summer, so the heat effects way more baseball games than football games.
