Wait? Better programs my arse. The proof is their with the amount of academic and athletic scholarships year in and year out. Did not mean to lump us up there with NMS as it pertains to Jesuit. Why isn't BM , HC, or Rummel producing them with their far superior programs but we produce them? The only thing u have is facilities and the money behind them.

I'd like to see the actual scholarship money comparison. And when's the last time Aug had a NMS? If St. Aug is such a great academic powerhouse, why are alumni sending their sons to other Catholic schools in droves? If their alumni are so smart and wealthy, why are their facilities shite?

Just the vibe that football is king. I like Jay Roth and he is a great coach. I just think the admin lets the football program run the school. I think the brotherhood (Raider Pride!!) amongst the students is still very much alive and better than most schools. I just think the admin is too concerned about putting a good football team on the field and not assembling a strong well rounded student body.

Ur point? Maybe they didn't take the PSAT to get into the running. On another note we will play up in the highest classification there is no matter what.

I assume you realize you are doing the exact same thing you are saying non Jesuit folks are doing. Don't kid yourself, Jesuit has their fair share of dumb asses.

You gotta have people willing to give back. You can't force people into giving back to their alma mater. They have the right to send their sons wherever they want but when it bites that arse. I sit back and laugh. Oh my son got fricked over by so and so. shite St. Aug coaches parlayed that scholarship for Dante Butler to Tulane. Fact. If BM wasnt so fricking undisciplined as a school when it comes to their students especially the black students they would have some serious hardware and kids to brag about. Yea I'm referring to that clusterfrick Swilling family. I have never seen kids that get to wear their hair anyway they want and sag their pants at a catholic institution. Same goes for HC. We take a kid from the worst parts of the city and mold then into fu king men. We save lives brother one by one. Let's see yall do that? Nope u won't , you would rather put them out or let em skat by if they are an athlete.

They just aren't getting in football's way anymore. I guarantee you that the administration at Rummel cares about a well rounded student body.

The problem is perception. Rummel has a very negative image by everyone on the outside, especially in comparison with Jesuit, Brother Martin, and Holy Cross.

Unfortunately that isn't going to change until people start sticking up for their school, and pointing out all of the positives.

The enrollment has plummeted since 2005 but the football team has gotten better. Something doesn't add up. I do like how the new admin has put together the pre- engr and pre-biomed curriculum.

Unfortunately the kids can't be watched at the snowball stand. Come on man. They are kids. They understand that they represent the school 24/7 but in the end they ARE kids.

I've seen kids walk right past a teacher who is on watch at Elysian Fields and not a word said to the kid. I stopped a kid and told him to pull up his pants and take that pick out his hair right by the baseball field. I would hope you would do the same for one of out kids. maybe the community cares more around Aug bc I know for a fact that if we did that even down the street on Broad at the McDonald's somebody would stop us and correct us. Or even some old lady would call the school and report us. Names and all. They still do it to this day.

So what you are saying is that only BM has kids like this? When BM plays at St. Aug for basketball this year I'll be sure to take pictures too for you so everyone can see the upstanding St. Aug student body.

You're right, HC doesn't care about the education of black athletes. Thats why Chigbu's playing ball at a top-20 academically rated public school next year and had offers from ND, UCLA, Duke...

Sorry, but if parents are buying into this hype they have no clue. What classes are in these "programs" that aren't just electives or AP courses?
