Ok i see.
That Lafayette district is taking a hit losing westgate and carencro. I could see carencro staying down.
South Lafourche definitely a possibility to play up.

Yet we put out National Merit Scholars every year on par with Jesuit? So what does that tell you? That the dumb dumb parents are caught up in eye candy. HC is still a shitty academic school with Archdiocese backing. It's like a Ferrari with a smart car engine. Shaw and Rummel ha! Now BM produces good students and actually teaches. Don't you think if the money was there the campus would be updated?

Aug is putting out 30-something National Merit Scholars a year? News to me.

HC and BM offer better facilities, academic programs, and athletic programs at a comparable cost.

I'm just going by what the parents said. I have only been to the campus a hand full of times for basketball games so from my experience I can't speak on the classroom just going by what I was told. I do agree if the money was there it would be updated but some parents don't want to pay that much for tuition when they have other option with better facilities.

Turns out Aug had zero last year. Jesuit had 34. Who knew that was comparable?

Original thoughts were that Lakeshore would join 6-5A and St Pauls would go to Catholic league. Id prefer that every sport

I bet you would. Lakeshore doesn't have the numbers to compete in that district or 5A in general.

Wait? Better programs my arse. The proof is their with the amount of academic and athletic scholarships year in and year out. Did not mean to lump us up there with NMS as it pertains to Jesuit. Why isn't BM , HC, or Rummel producing them with their far superior programs but we produce them? The only thing u have is facilities and the money behind them.

I don't like it bro. I am just telling you the vibe I am getting. I am hoping to send my kid there in the future so really want Rummel to succeed both athletically but not at the expense of academics.

See I just dont get this. When my kids are born they will go to Jesuit. It is a no brainer. Best school and cheaper. Who gives a shite about petty high school rivalries when you were a 16 year old

When I attended Rummel about 20yrs ago, our NMS were in line with BM and above HC and Shaw. I think we had just under 10. Jesuit consistently is in the 30 range.

Jesuit also did a much better job prepping their students for the test. Rummel really dropped the ball focusing on English lit instead when I was there.
