Well if you believed 95% of the threads on the MSB you'd think people from Atl went to Detroit for vacation

I always compare NO to my hometown of Sav on here. A small smelly southern city that most people only go to get wasted. Both have pretty decent food, alot of history , and problems of a city 10x it's population. It certainly doesnt warrant shite talking anywhere else

But again, the bullshite on here every time this dome comes up is hysterical

Or restaurants. Or bars. Or any generic establishment or tourist spot.

People shite on Atlanta way too much on this board. It's not feasible to rotate the SECC and it's in a great location now. There's lots of things to do there. Most people are happy with the arrangement.

You would think the stadium designers or whoever approved the final design would have been sensitive to the thought that the thing looks like a giant butthole, according to many.

They must know that the place might wind up with a very disparaging nickname.

Why approve a design like that? They are going to be stuck with it a long time.

I certainly dont hope they think casinos are the crown attraction of their very persuasive argument. Although polyester and cigarette smoke are very nice imports of the casino industry

It may not be the most elegant design, it is very futuristic looking. However if we play Rorschach, of the many things you can envision when looking at this stadium, if you see a human anus it says alot more about you than the design. Way more

Sorry but personal experience is all I have to go on, and the ATL has shite the bed every time I went (SECCG and a few business trips). Sad part is every time I really wanted ATL to be cool, but it refused to do so. On a side note, I've also learned never to ask someone from Atlanta for advice on places to eat.

Dallas
It is literally 1 hour and 15 mins faster to Dallas than Atlanta from Baton Rouge. Dallas makes absolutely no sense whatsoever for any team outside of A&M.

Unless your hour and 15 minutes means that much more to you

Your experience with rectal sphincters seem to be on another level compared to me. Where did you get all of your experience? The last time I checked my anus wasn't a jagged metal structure.

Each way. I fly to New Orleans from Houston when going to BR, and that only saves about an hour.

But I agree with your overall point. Baseball should rotate, but you can't rotate football because other conferences would sign long term deals with the venues

It's a major city. Much better set up than Dallas as far as things to do and transportation to and from the stadium.

If you aren't having a good time, that is on you.

I didn't realize that it was going to be right next to the Georgia Dome. I thought it was going to be in one of the northern suburbs.

Is the new baseball stadium being built in one of the northern suburbs?

Yep. Me and a buddy went in 2009. Drove from Nashville, saw the game, hit up a bar, and drove back to Nashville. No problems. Great night. I recommend the Cheetah Lounge. Hey, Roll Tide.

Bias. Lying.

Back on track, I suspect I'm going to hate the place because they won't ever open the roof.

Not really.

It is right outside 285 where 285 and 75N come together. That was considered the northern suburbs 25 years ago, but not any longer.

It will be a great place for weekend baseball, and a complete cluster during the week.

Comparing NOLA to SAV is about as goofy as comparing NOLA to ATL.

NOLA metro area is nearly 1.4 million.
All of Chatham County (SAV) is only about 250K

I want to keep it in Atlanta, but this ACC stealing it away forever is laughable So Atlanta will sign a lifetime contract to a conference who will fill up 50% of their stadium and rent out barely any hotel rooms?

I hate to stick up for the acc, but are you really so dense to think the acccg would only sell 40k seats in the dome? There's a major reason it's attendance is so laughably bad, and that reason would disappear were it in Atlanta.

What would change if they moved it from CLT to ATL?
Both cities are hubs for major airlines.
Both cities have interstate access to the ACC schools
I highly doubt that the the ACCCG becomes a play in game for the playoffs
Playing in a CC venue vs the open is the only thing that would change and the weather is not what is keeping the fans away from the ACCCG.

As I have said before the SECCG does not need to move, but the baseball tournament needs to rotate between Memphis, Bham, Pensacola, and Biloxi.
