Millennials do not like Hillary, especially after Bernie dropping out and the DNC emails that were leaked. Secondly:
Hillary may have a millineal problem
...

re: LSU only SEC school that raises more donations for athletics than for academics - cornhat
This article is so stupid for so many reasons. Atheltics make millions for the school.
The point of the article is that academics are not anywhere near a priority to LSU fans as athletics is. The fact that the AD gives money to the school does not change that....

re: Does anyone actually think Hillary is an intelligent, accomplished person? - cornhat
Of course. It's unreasonable to think otherwise, even if you disagree with her policies.
Welcome to the Poli board. Graduating from Wellesley and Yale Law means shite here. I'm guessing a degree from Wharton means the same?...

re: No matter who wins, a lot of obnoxious people on one side or the other - cornhat
Translation: You're rationalizing for that moment when Trump wins and you don't have to admit how butthurt YOU ARE.
Why is the reaction to everything not 100% Trump or Hillary 'butthurt'? People sound so defensive saying that. Some of us, I'm guessing OP as well, want to watch th...
A majority of the older Cubans they talked to were voting Trump. When they asked why several of them mentioned the Democratic Party is exactly how Communism started in Cuba.
They also have some of the most lenient immigration policies in this country. No risk of deportation once the...

re: Spinoff: if you are for driverless cars - cornhat
Many components to efficiency other than speed. As it is, there's a lot of controversy surrounding red light cameras politically-[link=(http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2016/10/former-redflex-ceo-given-14-months-for-bribery-in-red-light-camera-case/)]CEO's bribing local government[/link]. re: Spinoff: if you are for driverless cars - cornhat
We already live in a world with red light cameras. If hypothetically we live in a driver-less car world with perfected technology, cars wouldn't perform traffic violations. GPS can already detect speeding zones on its maps, it's not hard to assume driver-less cars have that capability as well....

re: What's the board consensus on self-driving cars and 18-wheelers? - cornhat
So there will be no transition from some cars networked to all cars being networked together? I'm not opposed to driverless cars, just think the liability issue is interesting. "Sorry my cars algorithm decided to kill your family walking down the sidewalk, but it was either you guys or me plo...

re: What's the board consensus on self-driving cars and 18-wheelers? - cornhat
I'm worried about what it means for jobs, but think people ultimately overstate how quickly it will be adopted. A lot of hand-waving in play here about getting from Point A to Point B.
This isn't going to happen for decades. But the argument of not pursuing more efficient means of b...

re: What's the board consensus on self-driving cars and 18-wheelers? - cornhat
zero hard data tested in the real world to support that.
No shite. This is a hypothetical. And since we are talking hypotheticals: if self-driving cars are not more efficient, cheaper, or safer than humans, it will be abandoned. If we get to the point that it is designed and worki...

re: What's the board consensus on self-driving cars and 18-wheelers? - cornhat
A car you couldn't see at all because the vehicle in front of you. The driverless car won't be able to see it either.
No, all the cars will be in a network with each other, not just the ones in direct proximity. And there are many mechanisms proposed in place so that self-driving cars ...

re: What's the board consensus on self-driving cars and 18-wheelers? - cornhat
Say ploying into the back of a school bus or swerving head on into a van full of disabled kids? Who gets tried in court for such decisions?
