I'll bet this shows up in recruiting- and not in a good way.

No it's a grammatical error giving something literal sense when it should be figurative

Yeah we were using the 90's fitness program giving players Dr. Pepper and using the food prymid when we were running defenses off the field.

Ken Goe of the Oregonian did an expose on the decline of culture under Helfrich. Guys we're writing down that they were doing their lifts but they weren't. They needed to ease into it.

It's another indictment on Helfrich.

This also happens when a person over doses on Creatine. And its very serious. I work in med lab. Creatinine levels measure the health of your kidneys. You see really high levels on dialysis patients....up to 12 or so...which is terrible.

one night i was working and got a 33.5 on a 20 something male. well thats obviously an error. ordered a redraw. same result. diluted it every which way I could. Doc got anxious and walked into lab...where is my creatinine level??? I tell him the circumstances....that I didnt believe my result and couldn't turn it out. Welll.....I ended up telling him and he said ... I believe it... "this guy ate a pound of Creatine thinking he could build up his muscles really fast." Patient died.

rhabdomyolysis

This can get pretty serious. It reacts like an auto-immune disease. I'm actually being tested for it right now, along with several auto-immune diseases. If his soreness is anything like what I have been experiencing, it's pretty brutal. It feels like every muscle in your body is severely bruised, as if you did 1,000 reps with 1,000 lbs for 30 days straight.

I seriously mean every muscle. Even small ones like your neck, jaw, fingers, toes...

I wonder if they missed that in his file, the statement makes it sound like it was known he has issues with it. I can't imagine a S&C coach and head trainer letting a guy with Rhabdomyolysis go past a certain point of exertion. Actually, unless it is a mild case, I'm not sure how he plays football.

Dude, you haven't run teams off the field in 2 years now. It doesn't take long for a cfb culture to change. When Kelly left, MH had a year or two where the culture was already there, then it looks like it may have begun to deteriorate.

I'm not saying guys going to the hospital is useful, but to say Oregon's culture is the same now, when their last 2 years they are 13-12, when the previous 6 combined they only lost 11, is not looking at the facts in an unbiased manner.

Thats crazy. I've been to the hospital with rhabdo once and probably suffered from it a few other times. Was playing basketball outside in the Florida summer for a few hours. Stopped taking supplements and haven't had a problem since.

The worst feeling of my life and I've had some pretty bad injuries. I was in my car and things started to go bad. I tried picking up my phone to call for help and all my finger and forearm muscles cramped and I just had a death hold on my phone. My neck went and I'm stuck just staring up at the roof of my car. I had to use my elbows to honk the horn of my car and some people came by and drove me to the hospital.

Mattrell McGraw, Oregon player from John Curtis said this on Twitter

Y'all complain about losing then change comes and all of sudden “the workouts are too gruesome” tf outta here

Don't believe we're working any harder than the other top elite programs , some people bodies are just different
3 out of a 112 players .. it's not 90 or 100 ??.. what about the 109 that's still working ?!

That's the thing that made me laugh in this thread and twitter. Those aren't the 3 guys most out of shape on the team. They're the 3 guys who's bodies are predisposed to this happening.
