False: Bill Russell had the GOAT career and it's not even a debate. Russell was the best player on 11 championship teams, never lost in the finals, was 10-0 in Game 7s and 16-2 in elimination games. Nobody had a better career than him and nobody ever will.

Ok.... MJ 6-0 in the Finals... Bron not so much.... Jack was really good at his peak.... 18 majors and finished 2nd 19 times IN MAJORS... as great as Tiger was between say 1999-2005, he can't compare to that.......

Hypothetically, let's say Lebron ends up with 6 titles. How do you view him?

He's 3-4 currently, with a chance to go 4-4. That is 8 finals appearance, and even more amazing, 7 straight. Let's say he ends up 6-5 in the finals when it's all said and done. Then what? Is 6-0 better than 6-5? That would be saying that losing before the finals is better than losing in the finals.

I didn't see him miss a dunk

I saw him make an nice turnaround and his post up of some guy where he walked and I saw him argue with a ref after he bricked a shot

The best player on the court was that other guy.

Say what you want about his competition, but making it to 7 straight finals is quite an accomplishment.

Greatest physically talented player of all time for sure. Not the best basketball player though.

The 7 straight is an indictment of his competition tbh. He would not have done that in the West in his career.

By the same token, though, MJ never had to face a perpetually stacked West. The West champ has been the de facto favorite almost every year.

I don't disagree, but I won't use that against him. He would still have rings, even if he were in the West. Less finals appearances, but likely zero finals losses.

LeBron has done a myriad of amazing things during his career that people refuse to acknowledge or give him credit for. It's honestly a result of his being SO good. He's SUCH an athletic freak and has been SO durable, that the common man just takes his fantastic tenure for granted. The man has made 7 straight Finals. SEVEN STRAIGHT. And oh btw? HE MIXED IN TWO OLYMPICS during that stretch too.

Go re read what I said. Then find a dictionary and go look up the definition of blanked statement

When you learn what blanket statement means, come apologize to the board

Right. LeBron would probably be something like 3-0 in the Finals if he played in the West, and all of these fools would laud him for being undefeated in the Finals and how it was such a great accomplishment compared to 3-4.

Why would he be 3-0? He lost to the big 3 in Boston multiple times the pistons and the Dwight Howard magic so what makes you think he'd be undefeated against the east when he's lost to a bunch of eastern conf teams?

You aren't using against him. You're trying to use it for him...

No one claims he wouldn't have won titles if he was in the West. But people act like the 7 straight is some ungodly thing he accomplished when it isn't

Not in the seasons he won a title, he didn't.

Point you're missing is, in those seasons he and his teams weren't good enough to beat an East team, they wouldn't have made the Finals in the West. The teams that did win the 3 titles beat East teams, so why would you think they wouldn't beat East teams?

Lol it's a hypothetical but you're using it as a definite. If he goes to the west who does he get to make his super team? Wade wasn't leaving Miami and Irvin wasn't leaving Cleveland so they're out and he probly doesn't win any without those two specifically. Does he make a team with Love and Bosh if so there's no promise they win anything. And he's won 1 title going back to Cleveland so you can at least exclude 1 from his west crown because nobody in the west was setup financially and with an expendable number 1 pick to make the moves they did to stack a team.
