Lebron is the GOAT player. MJ had the GOAT career.

Argument with my friend earlier ended with this resolution.

MJ had the most storied career, not the GOAT career.

LBJ is the best player this game has ever seen, though.

Well then both of you were wrong. Jordan was a more skilled basketball player. He had a better career because he was a better player.

I have no idea why I used to hate on Lebron so much. The Miami days were messy but now that all the bandwagon fans are behind the Warriors.... I think everyone is finally realizing how great Lebron really is.

He deserved the hate for Miami. Don't think he deserved the love for going back to Cleveland (it wasn't about going home, it was about jumping ship to a better basketball situation just like he did when he left ).

But I can't hate on his game or deny that he's the best player ever. All the other things are superfluous when were talking about the game itself.

Statistically, lebron is better at rebounding and assists. Jordan is better at scoring, steals, blocks. Jordan was just a pure winner and does what he needs to do. I know....I was a big Knicks fans in the 90s.

I don't think MJ had the GOAT career either.

He had the single biggest impact on the NBA, its future players, and branding/marketing though

MJ's legacy is amplified by his timing. Winning/stats aside, he did it at a time when the NBA was breaking out from being a niche sport to globally popular.

He would not be the best player right now. And that's not a knock on him--the game has evolved and athletes have improved/gotten more versatile. But some folks via nostalgia or just a disdain for the present have elevated him to near-deity status and it destroys all conversation.

James fanboys do that as well, of course, but that's the other side of this inane coin

Another attempt by morons to undercut LeBron's remarkably legendary career by presenting an illogical argument at his expense, typical LBJ haters.

Lebron is the GOAT in the first 46 minutes of a basketball game. MJ is the greatest of all time in the last two minutes. Btw, I dont agree with my first statement.

Ok.... MJ 6-0 in the Finals... Bron not so much.... Jack was really good at his peak.... 18 majors and finished 2nd 19 times IN MAJORS... as great as Tiger was between say 1999-2005, he can't compare to that.......

This opens it up for stretches of greatness IMO.

Dr. J.

Moses Malone

Hakeem.

MJ in his first three titles and the losses as well. Not Finals losses. Like the Celtics. Stuffing 65 points in Birds face.

LeBron.

Magic for stretches.
