I believe it was a horrible call as the defender wasn't defenseless nor was he peeled back on.

Maybe high but Bell is taller than the DB.

Pretty bad. I could think of about a dozen on some NFL QBs that were ridiculous.

Current rules, not football.

When it happened I was so confused why the threw a flag.

The other one I was going post was the most deserving PF call the Marquell Wade hit at Vandy on the Fair Catch

My favorite part of that video is the score at the time.

The targeting call against the Nebraska defender this past bowl season is probably worst i've seen and it was inexplicably upheld on review. LINK

I think that was early in the game to, totally changed the game not having one of their defensive leaders in the field.

I am reluctant to use superlatives so I say no. However, it is unnecessarily viscous but it should not have been an illegal hit. No reason to potentially end a guy's career when all you had to do was get in the defender's way to have a successful block. Blind and cheap is how I would describe it.

Ray Drew getting ejected vs Vandy in 2013 was as bad as I've ever seen, but this was bad too

Ray Drew

Bad call, but not close to the worst ever. At least you could argue it was actually 'unnecessarily rough.'

Not the worst ever, but not a good call, either. Didn't matter, though, since Nebraska was getting their shite pushed in by an average Wisconsin team.

That one should be in the argument. That tackle was exactly what we want players to do - solid, square, form, not overly aggressive. Just a ridiculous call on every level.

This one against Michigan vs. Michigan State was pretty bad too. I actually turned the game off after this ejection (no rooting interest). Luckily, I caught the wild finish at a restaurant later. LINK

Totally forgot about that one in the UM/MSU game. Wow.

ETA: thanks for bringing that game into this thread. Will go watch ending now.
