It would be hard not to make numerous birdies. It all depends on the pin positions on that day. Sunday pins at Augusta would give way to numerous birdies.

dude, it doesn't matter if i or you have played 100 1-man scrambles/or whatevers or if you had 5 balls each shot ...

none of you would break 100 at the masters under tournament conditions ... you think because you have an extra shot that the 2nd drive or 2nd iron shot on #11 will be better? ... even more incredulous is that you think the 2nd chip will be better simply because you have a 2nd chip ... if you miss 16 to the green or long, you could have 100 extra shots ...

but, hey ... we got some bad arse golfers on heah ...

no ... "decent college golfer" equals someone who might avg 74ish in college ... would not break 80 at the masters with 2 balls each shot ...

Guess what? Some of us hit par 5's in two, make holes-in-one, double eagles, etc. A lot of the times we don't need the 2nd shot.

guess what? ... none of you play anything remotely close to a pga tour setup ... and none of you play anything remotely close to the greens at the masters ...

but, hey ...

IT"S THE INTERNET! ...

Umm... Yes, I do. Have you never met my second guy? He's a bastard and a pretty good golfer In reality, my iron shot on #11 is going to be short and right anyways so I might not need a second ball but it wouldn't hurt. Around the greens is where it would be the biggest help (but yes, on some shots you would be in trouble and just have to take your medicine with a bogey).

if the pros have a lot of trouble hitting the green with their 1st shot, do you really think you're guaranteed to hit it with your 2nd shot? ... and an extra ball will not help an amateur golfer on the chips at augusta ... you could hit 100 chips and it wouldn't help ...

playing a course and playing a tournament are two different things ...

but maybe you are a scratch golfer who just didn't want to mess with winning the amateur and all that goes with it ... i'm out ...

Better have a + in there somewhere.

Some make it obvious they don't know a certain level of golf.

In case you're not familiar with a 1 man scramble, basically you hit 2 shots each time and take the best. Would you still finish last? Would you make the cut? Would you be in the hunt??? (We will assume you were granted 2 practice rounds)

I'm about a 10 handicap, but been down to 3ish before and played competitive golf my whole life. If I practiced a good bit and was allowed 2 shots each time, I would easily beat 83-85 IMO.

Do you realize how absurd of an advantage that is? You can redo every single putt after you've seen the break and speed.

You can redo every shot that goes OB or in a hazard. You can attack the pin if you hit a good first shot.

This advantage would be ridiculous.

~50 Francesco Molinari...+11 71-76-76-76-299
~51 Larry Mize.................+16 74-72-79-79-304

My guess is my scores would look like this.
