I said the top guys on my college team would be in contention on Sunday. You told me to "just stop". Well, JP and Loupe were our top guys. So I never once put words in your mouth.

With a scramble? You guys have no confidence.
It is kind of crazy. Most club pros around town would do pretty damn good while scrambling

Im starting to doubt you played college golf. College golfers and good local scratch guys would dominate the putting and chipping with a scramble.

I would be willing to bet I would break par, but I just can't go that far.

I think you would be right on the par line.

Doubt that I would even get to 2nd-to-last. I'm a 7 right now but that course is on a whole different level than what I'm used to playing. Would love it if they gave me a chance though, see what you can do for me.

It would be hard not to make numerous birdies. It all depends on the pin positions on that day. Sunday pins at Augusta would give way to numerous birdies.

I think a better question is could you make double digit pars in 36 holes playing a 1 man scramble

2, 3, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16 would all give fairly easy birdie chances.

And Crenshaw shot a 90 at a Champions tour event last year so I'm confident you're a better golfer than him. He may know the greens better, but no decent golfer should 3 putt more than once per round if he gets to scramble. Getting up and down would be much easier too.

I would probably shoot an 88 in that scenario... So no, I would not make the cut and yes I would finish deader than last.

Pretty important question I forgot to ask: Who are my playing partners? If I'm playing with Rory and Tiger my score would obviously be much worse than if I was playing with Eric Compton and Anirban Lahiri.

Solid point however, this is the Master's on camera. I would imagine that I would be shaking a little, especially on the first green and toward the end if I were even close. The most likely scenario involves a 14 somewhere, and I give up and shooting well and just play

This is probably an overstatement IMO. Great college golfers and elite local scratch guys may be competitive with a scramble. Some may excel, a few would dominate.

The scramble is obviously a massive advantage, but a lot of it will be washed out by the extreme gulf between the college golfer's competitive/mental game and the pros', and the huge difference in playing tournament Augusta setup vs. college/club tourney setups.

no one on this board could break 100 playing a 1-man scramble ...

What I typically can shoot on a good day in BR:

Webb Park: 88ish
LSU : 86-90
Beaver Creek: 86-90

What I think I would shoot alone at Augusta: 130
