I don't enjoy watching majority barely better than high school talent struggle through games. It's much more fun to watch guys who have mastered the game go at it in multi game series'

This. It's the beautiful game in its purest form.

Not with the NBA and college hoops. Kentucky is the only area in the south where you could say college hoops is more popular than the NBA really

I fully admit to not liking any level of basketball. I don't even like to play it. I also don't complete a bracket and haven't for the past ten or so years.

i don't know if it's been said, but 4-5 years ago when NBA was still primarily relying on a lot of iso play, this argument made some sense...but these days? it's a very bad argument. the NBA has been amazing the past couple years

I prefer college basketball over the NBA. Mainly because of the atmosphere and traditions of the schools. The NBA is pro's, it's suppose to be a better product on the floor. But outside of that, the atmosphere is dry as frick, and quite boring unless it's the playoffs.

I don't like any sport where they play 80+ games a year.

I'm one that doesn't like the NBA until playoff time but enjoy college basketball most any time.
My reasons
Passion. College fans have more passion as a whole. A few NBA teams have that college passion but mostly its boring ebbs and flows crowds.
Coaching. Say what you want about it but most NBA teams are rarely coached during games. The stars and leaders determine what's going on in those games. It's a one on one game way too often with clear outs. That's not basketball. I do grant you that all basketball is going the one on one route and it's horrible.
Less predictability. Watch NBA games every night and the patterns of their games become very apparant. The teams are always gonna make a run and the real defense doesn't begin until the 4th.

I have virtually zero interest in NBA, due to a variety of factors. I can't even remember the last time I watched a full game. Watched quite a few college games from start to finish this year. The atmosphere and energy is so much better. I just enjoy the college game much more. I'm only in my 30's, but if that makes me some "old white guy" then so be it.

I don't see how you can say this when you admit to having no interest in the NBA. The NBA product is better in just about every way possible. The difference in skill between the NBA and college is almost like going form the WNBA to the NBA (slight hyperbole, but it's a pretty large margin). But maybe I'm crazy for getting more enjoyment out of watching more talented people play the game better.

I like college sports in general better than professional sports due to my affiliation with a university that competes at a high level. Pro sports don't do much for me, even more so the older i get. I haven't watch a regular season NBA game in years.

This is 100% me

Since the one and done phenomenon has overtaken college basketball the product is garbage. Watching the tournament is fun, but there is a lot of really bad play.*

Having said that, the NBA regular season is pretty unwatchable. The disparity between its regular season and playoffs in the NBA is amazing to me. The palyoffs are always good theater. We shouldn't even force prisoners to watch NBA regular season games.

*i 100% am in favor of one and done. In fact, the requirement to force a kid to go one token year to college is ridiculous. But, the by product of that is it has destroyed college hoops.

I wish the nba would allow them to jump directly from hs, but require 3 years if they enroll in college. Similar to baseball. It may not be good employment policy, but it would really improve cbb, imo.

Because the few times I do watch a NBA game in the 4th quarter the crowd is usually dead silent, even in close games. There is no buzz or any energy in the arena. Hell, most teams have play sound effects or music during the game just to get the crowd fired up. I wonder which team will sit out all their star players again that aren't even hurt next? I'd be surprised if the Warriors and Cavaliers aren't in the Finals again. Hard to even care about the regular season at this point.

The NBA season is 4 times longer than college. Don't give me that nonsense.

Yea, Golden State has looked unbeatable lately
