Need to know what the bad call that official made before it can be determined if that was justified.

Only being kicked off the team would not be enough...these kids needs to be charged with assault to send a message to all players.

The ref should sue the school, coaches, administrators. If they thought they'd be liable for these little angels' actions, I bet they* wouldn't be so quick to enable them.

*I'm talking about coaches/administrators in a general sense, not just this singular event.

John Jay is pretty much an inner-city San Antonio high school. It's a shame crap like this goes on, and tarnishes a reputation if an entire school, district, city, etc.

These guys need to be sent to an alternative high school center the same way other juveniles in schools experience.

Old school coaches and admins would throw the book at these kids. Let's see what happens.

There's no justifying that. This doesn't doesn't belong in football. The kids helmet is basically a weapon

It is Texas football, so one shouldn't be shocked what those rednecks do down there.

Both kids should be banned from Sports at the school and arrested for assault.

If i was one of their parents, i would beat him near an inch of his life. He would learn a valuable life lesson when he came home.

This is from shitty parenting and terrible coaches.

Parenting like this is probably what caused it in the first place.

Considering the school in John Jay, it was probably a lack of parents is what led to the kids believing this was alright.

And right on Cue, the race card is being played. Players claiming the Ref used racial slurs.

Does anyone have a source to that? I can't find any article on the incident that makes that claim

It's towards the bottom of story on SB

quote:

Players and students from John Jay have tweeted that the hit came after racial slurs were used by the targeted official. John Jay starting quarterback Moses Reynolds is not among those who made allegations of racist comments, but did seem to come to the defense of his team's actions:

Both these people will be murdered in a drug-related incident before the age of 26.
