Yes.

He could hedge any amount of it to guarantee money.

Betting Philly -7 for $40K would guarantee at least $39,995 in profit.

$39,995 if Philly covers, $51K if Carolina does.

You sure about that?

Aren't you reducing your max winnings probably just guaranteeing half?

It kind of depends what kind of person you are.

If you're risk averse, you definitely hedge. If you are risk neutral you hedge because you want to be guaranteed the most money.

If you're a risk taker, you let it ride and hope to maximize and don't hedge.

Even if he lets it ride, he should hedge a little. IT would be stupid not to.

I hit a $50 7 team baseball parlay this summer that paid 80-1

Nice......I had a 5 team money line parlay in College Football earlier this year that would have paid 95-1. I had Kansas St over Oklahoma, West Virginia over Baylor, Maryland over Iowa, Syracuse over Wake Forest.....the game that screwed me was Cal over UCLA. I ended up hedging a little live, but that would have been nice had I taken the whole enchilada.

Why not put 56K on Philly on ML?

Eagles win by 1-6 points, you clean up. You cannot lose, your winning i believe at least 20K, even if you only hit ML bet.

eagles win by 6 and u hit parlay and Eagles ML bet

Now that i think about it, betting Philly -7 is a stupid play

You bet 56K on Philly on ML, and your guaranteed a nice payoff, with chance for cleaning up on both bets.

The thing where he may get screwed is it would probably take 10+ years to get his money out of the sportsbook account if he wins. They won't let you just withdraw 95k. I know 5dimes has a limit that you can only take out something like 7k per year.

Stahp you have no idea how to hedge or what you're talking about.

So he can get a $95K payoff on a bet with true odds of $5 X 2^15 = $163,840. I can see why the casino would take that bet all day long.

Isn't there a risk that the sports book can't pay? If so, wouldn't getting a loan be a bad idea because you couldn't repay it?!

I really hope as the Ole Miss poster mentioned, that this isn't some fundless and/or newbie college bettor as the bet size possibly implies.

If so, I sure hope as the 14th win went final, he was scrambling to whatever friends, family, and/or reach out to whatever BMs he knows to make moves for him, for small 2 to 5 percent commission if need be.

He's free-rolling, and though The Greek still quoting Philly -300 Moneyline, the rest of LV and Offshore around -330, thus gotta lay 10K-ish for every 3 Dimes he wants to hedge.

If he has connections, he could lay Philly -330 ML for 66000 to win 20K Eagles ML or 49,500 to win 15K, and pray for the middle. Or also if with those with the right bankrolls, wait for Halftime, or play In-Game(he/she especially hoping for early Caro 7-0 lead and maybe getting Phi Pick-Em -110)..

Sure hope he has secured Hedge and/or Line-of-Credit avenues to make the right moves..

If so, he/she could be making out with 115K or more tonight.
