There might not be a better SG but there are certainly players at other positions who are better than Harden. I would take Derrick Rose, Tony Parker and Russell Westbrook over him. A healthy Dwight Howard is also better. Carmelo had a better year than him last year.

I'm a huge fan of Harden/Kyrie but they are way too high. Curry is completely reactionary as well.
Totally agree, especially on Curry. Tony Parker was a clear cut #2 MVP candidate last year before getting hurt. Curry and Kyrie aren't better than Parker.

Not to mention neither Harden, Kyrie nor Curry play any defense

Also, Rose will be back to 3rd or 4th on this list by the end of the year

Slams Top 50 is much more legit IMO.

Slam has Carmelo as the 4th best player in the league.

Wouldn't surprise me. I listened to Sonny Vaccaro on the radio today talking about how all he has heard from GM's around the league is just how awesome he looks.

Damn...Thunder should have 3 of the top 5 in the NBA according to that poll! If only they didn't feel the need to keep Perkins and/or Monster Cock!

Wasn't it more to do with Ibaka not Perkins?

Yeah Dirk's ranking doesn't make any sense either. If I'm starting a team based on who helps me win the finals this year Dirk is definitely in the top 15.

Not many players in the league I'd take over a healthy Dirk

Had to do with their ownership/luxury tax situation. A big market team solely focused on winning could keep KD/Westbrook/Harden/Ibaka together, at least for a few years.

That's why I thought it had to do with Ibaka more than Perkins. They basically realized they couldn't keep all 4 especially with the amount of money Harden was looking for.

Annual GM survey disagrees with you

Gasol is all over that survey, but the one that standout(to me) is that he is the only center to receive votes for best passer in the league.

FIVE Point Guards ahead of Tony Parker is a complete joke.
