Papelbon should, kick his arse again. frick Harper. He's a little bitch. I hope he does add some "flair". He will lead the league in HBP's to his dick suckers. There's a reason why people hate Cam and the showboating NBA. Nobody wants MLB to turn into a shite show of cocksuckers

A player flipping a bat and Cam's ridiculous shenanigans are too different things.

No trolling. Just save the dramatics for walk offs or late game big hits, k's, catches. No need to be a "look at me" arse hat when you hit a HR in the second inning or a Double when losing by 6. Does anybody really like watching Valbuena pull his stunt on a single,up the middle?

Which is fine but I don't understand the outrage over things like bat flips? I thought this was an all time sports photo.

The reason I had a problem with this, is that when it happened it didn't win the game. If that had happened in the bottom of the ninth inning and it was a walk off, throw that bitch to Montreal Jose.

But it didn't happen like that. Now I'm hoping the first time he plays against Texas, whoever is on the mound throws right at his back.

No one bat flips on a bloop single. Cam dances for a first down.

I agree with Harper. We need a player with personality. Griffey was the last baseball player that was super popular with any kind of style or flair. Trout is awesome, but he's quiet. I think Harpers big personality could be great for baseball.

Not according to a lot of baseball fans.

I've seen Valbuena bat flip a pop out to RF before as well as pimping a solo shot when the Stros were down 7-8 runs last season.

It happens.

I love the emotion Bryce shows and I agree it should be there, but only in the right circumstance. If you're going to pimp the shite out of a solo shot in the second inning then expect to get pegged in the back for being a retard.

I guess you missed john bakers fist pump for taking a walk against chapman.

or brandon phillips pimping a double (that was almost caught) to break up an arrietta no hitter.

If anything i'd say phillips is worse, but who cares.

I have a really hard time understanding why stuff like this pisses off the pitcher that gave up the home run...much less the fans. That one is an honest to god head scratcher for me.

Pimp a home run in spring training off a guy that'll be bagging groceries in a week for all I care.

Anyone that sides with Jonathon Papelbon over Byrce Harper in their flair up (or just their general outlook on how baseball should be played) is probably not someone I would want to hang out with.

I think there's a fine line between showing emotion/ celebrating and showing up your opponent. I do think that some people need to get the sand out of their vag. Fist pumping or watching a long home run does not deserve a fastball to the rib cage.

I don't mind a little "flair", but I also don't want to hear him complain when a pitcher throws high and tight.

OT, but Historically, there was a reason to throw high and tight and that was to back the batter off the plate and make them uncomfortable. Back in the day, players didn't wear all the damn body armor and players didn't want to be hit. Now with the elbow pads and stuff batters aren't worried about being hit anymore. Heck, some try to get hit (even though the rule states the batter must try to get out of the way)

If you want to show boat and show up the pitcher, the pitcher also should have the right to throw inside.

Also, celebrating is a part of sports. But I agree with others that SOME of the celebrating in ALL sports has become a little over the top.
