Would love see what Tony G, would have done with a HOF QB throwing to him.

The dude had Trent Green and Matt Ryan throwing to him during the prime(s) of his career. Trent's not an HOFer but he's not a bum like the QBs Tim Brown played with until Gannon.

Bavaro is definitely a top 5 TE ever. Elite blocker.

Modern TE position is all Gonzalez, Sharpe, Gates and Gronk at this point. Hard to argue any of those guys with Gronk being slightly newer to the list for longevity purposes.

Gonzo didn't make it to Atlanta until he was 34, not his prime years. Don't try and compare Trent Green to Brady & Brees.

you assess his production with Ryan in Atlanta, still viable, prime tight end stats even with the older age

Gonzalez
Gates
Witten
Winslow
Gronk
In no particular order

Written or Gonzales.
Pending how Gronk finishes his career.

unless of course you use their 2 best seasons combined

Tony Gonzalez and it's not even close.

How can Gronk be the best when he's never available. You're best ability is availability!!

Are you saying graham has ever been better as a TE?
Posted on 9/7/17 at 1:06 pm to wildtigercat93
just doing some math. What do you think about it
Posted on 9/7/17 at 1:07 pm to wildtigercat93
There used to be a legit argument for who is better because Gronk is so injury prone. Graham on the Saints was a top 3 mismatch in the league. Gronk was always the more complete guy because he can actually block
Posted on 9/7/17 at 1:11 pm to Lester Earl
Seems pretty arbitrary. Graham was still never a better TE despite having a better second best season receiving.
And in New Orleans, you could debate whether Graham was ever actually a TE given his usage

When your argument is "well one guy is hurt" then that's not actually an argument. Clearly the guy whose hurt is better when he's on the field
