Last summer I watched a Texas team win 12u @ ESPN @ Disney. Must be talking different age groups?
I believe Team Panama won the 12U division last year. We beat them the year before. My son threw a 1 hitter against them. They had 22 kids on their roster that year...and they were pissed that a neightborhood team from Pearland, Tx put them out. It was a miserably hot week...we lost our first game and had to come through the losers bracket. We won 4 straight games but ran out of pitching and got hammered by another team from Florida. I believe we tied for 5th. It was a great experience for them kids. Here is our team pic...my son is the beast on the left. This was right after getting eliminated. He was pissed.

Used to love doing that. I played on a little neighborhood team too. We had 11 players and would beat all the baseball factories around Florida. Then I got older and went and played for one. No regrets at all, but it was always fun to go around beating teams with a group of 11 goofy arse looking rugrats

I played travel ball like this growing up. I had a blast and wouldn't trade it for the world.
But with that said, I just had a baby girl and I couldn't be happier that I don't have to be a travel ball parent. I don't know how my parents did it.

Travel ball defined my summers as a youth. Everyone I played with ended up in D1 if I remember correctly. I think we played a mix of majors and AAA. When you get outside of LA and start playing the good travel teans, the quality of play is ridiculous. The Banditos are a known squad and are really good. I remember a team named the Flyers from Pensacola that was awesome as well.
In short, parents loved it and made amazing friends from spending so much time together. Most of the team loved it or you got burnt out and played another sport.
I had three former college players as coaches and they were top notch. Two pitching coaches and a head coach from OU. Head coach was a baseball junkie and super intense.

We definitely played on the same team for 13-14 year old ball.

Considering you post a lot about banking, and factoring in the intelligence factor of some of the guys on that team, my options are limited.
I'll roll the dice and say your initial are EF.

Can I get my unborn future son signed up for one of these stud Florida teams, yet?

Why the condescension? Hopefully, one day you will be blessed enough to have a son that makes you proud daily...regardless of their performance on the diamond.

Travel ball is great when you play with the kids you go to school with. Barbe, Kinder evangel have their own teams. Seems to help build their programs. .

If I heard correctly, the 13 team was dissolved, mostly due to multiple throwing arm injuries, including growth plate fractures.
These have been common at that age w teammates and friends of my son's 12 and 14 yo teams. And not even overused arms.
We've played Sheets 12 twice this year. Only competitive in the early innings. Saw them on the ropes in a quarterfinal game a while back, only to score three w two out and no one on to tie and eventually win in extras.
I'll see them in LC tonight. They will easily take state. I've found their teams to be well coached and play w respect of their opponent.
But it is apparent that Ben gets a little too much respect from blue on occasion. Lol

What makes them so much better than other teams? He gets all the best arms?

wahoocs. Rayne Thunder? 13s dissolved from school ball and draw from other local teams. only 2 kids had injuries, one minor.

Yes, but I'm not from Rayne. Mine is the midget lead off. Nursing a ham, so if we meet, tell your 3rd baseman he can stay back. Lol

They accumulate some of the best talent from a larger area and practice mostly w private instruction.
This team doesn't really have a weakness, but pitching is definitely a strong point.

And if your kid plays league ball he has almost zero chance of making his school team. It just doesn't happen anymore.
