He was 11yrs old then and not quite 6ft. He is 6'2 215lbs and recently turned 13. We bring a copy of his BC to every game despite the fact that it's on file with USSSA and Nations.
He throws harder at 13 than most high school kids. He hits 83-84mph on his fast ball regularly. His pitching coach says he gunned him at 85 recently. I hope he maintains his love of the game and keeps progressing.

Depends...from my experience, the high school team in my area was selected on the recommendations from the local little league 'officals'..plus, parents who owned businesses that had the largest sponsorship signs in the outfield. Sounds like sour grapes I know, but it really isn't. I truly was blown away by the 'political' picks instead of the true talent that was left off the team. So were other parents and players that were picked and those not picked

That's why the Northshore district sucks... they should be dominating but they're pretty average

Gold mine for what? Aside from a couple of sarcastic posters, the majority of the information here is spot on.

Does he have an 11 yr old team this year? I'm umpiring in Hammond at Chappeala Park and I could have sworn his players were saying Coach Sheets.

A lot of my son's friends play on this team. Ben is a great guy and does a ton for youth baseball in the Monroe area. And no my son is not on this team either.

71 games in a few months.

That seems like a lot.
